Nope, those traces suggest a routing problem just after the packets leave the ntl network.

Re: https and msn problem

Same problem in the Hertfordshire area - have rung NTL who admit there is a problem, but couldn't tell me what was happening due to a "System failure"!!

RobJ 01-10-2004 11:26

Can Browse http but not https or FTP or email

I'm having the same issue again as I had back in Feb 2004
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...5&page=1&pp=15
I can browse normal web pages via http://
but can Not via https:// ftp:// or collect email via any client software
last time back on Feb, ntl phoned me after the problem was fixed and said it had been a router problem in Northampton area, I'm in Grimsby Lincolnshire.
please help NTL, the last time it took 6 days to fix, can it please be a little quicker this time. :erm:

Re: https and msn problem

It's NTL's way of saying you should be asleep at 2am instead of surfing the web. It's kinda like the reason why ITV show crappy American shows like Judge Judy or Sledgehammer in the wee hours. Think of it as a public service ;)
