My guess is it will be a while though - during the adverts for Playmakers (new US football series being shown on FX) it clearly still stated Sky subscribers only :(

I don't know where you are getting your information from, but from what you've written on this thread, it doesn't appear to be a very accurate source.

I can't confirm too much about new channels, until we've signed contracts with them. However, I can tell you that there aren't any new channels coming this month. And comments you've made about FX coming are not correct.

As soon as we have some new channels to tell you about, then I will post that info on here.

Northern Ireland is part of the Langley fed UK system. The Republic of Ireland has three digital headends which carry different programming to the UK.

Oh its great when I get called at 4am and have to think about it!

That is an old advert that has been running for a few weeks now, so I wouldn't take "sky subscribers only" as being gospel, if it were to come to cable, then I would assume that a new advert would be created in time.

Just checked and here in Andover, the info screens report:

Channels 307, TS Streams 27, Total Services 307. Do these vary with which packages you are subscribed to?

By the way, Interactive seems to be poorly tonight. BBC bridges display perfectly, but all the walled garden content from them, pressing Interactive and help all give a M044 error, and C4 red button just gives a two line apology for lack of service, which is better that the two line list of games ;)

I'll guarantee it hasn't.

It can change day to day on Langley, and different areas have different numbers (Belfast for example has RTE and Network2 which aren't available everywhere).

I would (and do) only talk to channel 4 regarding a technical issue, I don't get involved with contractual issues such as BB streams. If Sam B doesn't say its happening then it isn't.

Well, there are three new channels coming next month.

For digital customers:
Setanta Sports, a new subscription channel showing SPL matches will be available at £12.99 per month.

Celtic and Rangers TV channels will both launch and be available at £6.99 per month.

Or, you can subscribe to a pack that contains all three for £15.99 per month.

Launch date of the channels is mid-July, date still to be confirmed.

For analogue customers in Glasgow or Belfast:
The Setanta Sport SPL channel will be available, also at £12.99 per month.

Are you sure the £15.99 package contains all 3 (spl live, rangers tv & celtic tv)? The Setanta web site says it's £15.99 for SPL Live and a choice of club channel and I can't see many fans wanting to have the other teams channel on their tv service.

Also, any idea when we'll get the promised 'Channel M'? My analogue reception is crap, so I would love to see it on digital.

Yes, the pack will include all three channels. You can always lock the one that you don't want to watch!

I don't have an update on Channel M. I know they have had some issues at their end. I thought they were targeting a launch in July but I'll try to find out the latest next week.
