Bah I'd like to see a version just for PC and tweaked a little then for the XBOX. Dont forget how much more power the XBOX has compared to the PS2.

There's allot of games out and coming out now for the XBOX that just wont run on the PS2

Bought the first GTA for PS1 years ago, and only just got GTA Vice City. Superb game.

I notcie that this thread has very little info on the game so here's some of the good points

San Andres is not LA, it's a whole state

.3 Citys make up the state Los Santos (LA) San Fierro (San Fransisco) and Les Venturra (Vegas)

.Between each city the will be country side, roughly the size of Vice City

.The game will be 6-8 times the size of Vice City

.There is a stamina meter, which now means you need to eat and sleep

.Improved interior areas, with more ineraction

.You'll be able to run a Casino or just gamble away you money in LAs Venturra

.Improved AI allowing you to recruit gang members and take them on missions with you.

And the story of the main character : Carl Johnson is going to have his work cut out. Returning to his old haunts after five years in the Liberty City slammer, and blamed by his older brother Sweet for younger bro' Brian's accidental death, he'll be making his way through an early 90's streetscape besieged by rival gangs.

Yeah i got GTA SA on pre-order :D well suited as people are offering me double cost around my end for the pre-order ticket as seems popular here although you can still pre-order it around country but im stubborn as i was 2nd to pre-order i get a freewalk through guide :D

Getting it on ps2 and when its out on x-box get it on that too, doubt PC could run game it has issues with GTAVC frame rate and sound :rolleyes:

This game just gets better and better

So far we now that you can:

Swimming
Character canges (you have to eat well, or get fat slowing you down)
customise car
over 3 times bigger than vice city (drive in the country to get between 3 citys each one bigger than vice)
driving licence
tattos
HUGE music (universal record have signed a deal)
house robberys

and now the train makes a return, (remember first game?) of course thats more important now because of the size of the game you may need to take trains to get places otherwise it would takje a long time to drive (although i would also enjoy that!








oh and you can hijack the train

Vice city was simply gta 3 in a new city with new music and a new story line and time and it was great

Now we have all of those again but 3 times each of them and also alll the new stuff like change cars, driving lincenecs, swimming, gangs, trains, house robberys....

It's not been confirmed yet if they're even doing an XBox version, let alone when it would be out.

Seeing as they released GTA3 & VC for the XBox, hopefully they'll do the same for SA....

Because of the deal with sony it will be a long time before the xbox version, at the very least it will be a year, i dounbt they will even annocence it until next summer

There is an Area-51 take in the game which has a no fly zone over it leading to some intresting possibilitys (a video shows a boring 747 being blown up mid-air) also Sameal L Jackson is doing one of the voices.


There are 3 citys with county side in-between, you can go to each city FROM THE START OF THE GAME although if you leave the first city (the one you start in) you will have 4 stars wanted levels until you complete some more missions

This means that you can view other citys from the start but it will be hard. A map is attached to this post.

There WILL be a 2 player element to the game, typically in mini-missions and stuff.

Two other areas of intrest (other than area 51) is the fact you can drive a combine harvester into town to run over people with big blades hahaha. ANd a hill thats so high it takes more a minute to reachs its speak from which you can see the whole city (due to improved draw distance)

Just back from my local Game(Middlesbrough) and the queues to buy the new GTA were massive. The worrying thing is that most of the queue was taken up by parents buying the game for the children.

Its so annoying when anything happens, like the recent manhunt outcry, that the parents are the first ones to complain. It doesn't stop them buying 18 rated games for 10 and 11 eleven year olds though.

Also you can get GTASA in game for £25 if you take the PC World voucher out of todays sun. If they won't match it Asda will.

Oh, it hasn't got an outright 2 player mode.. it's on Kill frenzies, etc.. you can have 2 player, that sucks :(

lol, enjoying it so far... only just got back in to have a bash :p

Not really bothered with the missions yet, got up to the spray paint one and just left it and did some exploring.

Managed to get into the airport and rob what looks like learjet, forget the name... flew it over to one of the other islands and as soon as you get there you get 4 police and some military aircrafts and I think SAM's start shooting you down. I tryed to get away, but ending up getting shot when I was making a run for it.

Couple of gripes with the game ;

- Use of the analog stick to control cars and CJ.. seriousley sucks. I'd much prefer the normal arrow controls.
- Lack of serious multiplayer action. This game says 1-2 players.. it's crap you can only have 2 player in the race parts and on kill frenzies,etc.
- Graphical glitches... lamposts, etc... The game deserved MUCH more than a PS2... this game should of been coded primarily for a PC, the potential is/was enourmous. However, can see where Rockstar are coming from... they've got much more sales selling it on a PS2 then a PC.

I managed to get a copy after all. not played much but like the story so far. The PS2 graphics seriously suck. Can't wait till the PC or Xbox version. Traded a few old games in so only paid £15.99.

You can indeed, though your not allowed in till you get a flying license, though you can put your car against the hut and climb over, and get in the............lear jet

Well I am one of lucky people who own this with the free walkthrough supplied and a Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Bandana ;) , still relativly nowhere in it though too busy exploring and aint even got to the other islands the amount of stuff you can do while just mucking about is immense this on the Xbox and PC will be something special but the next Grand Theft Auto on the PS3 when released will be something special indeed :devsmoke:

Sorry for double post just been playing on GTA SA found the Quad ( thanks m8 didnt spot that before ) noticed alot of the Vice City cheats work for the new one, also there is a cheats cd available in stores on November 18th I think on a magazine which cheats I am not sure about but should help those having issues, I am where the "life is a beach" mission and am having issues with that and are just exploring the area...and getting my man like the HULK in muscle size. :D

lol apparently on that mission it helps if you tap your foot along with the song.
If you need any extra help theres gtaforums.com which provides help with missions and suchlike, but I suggest you try them out yourself first, its more rewarding :)

Still on same mission LOL< aint had time to really be bothered doing it, However did get a cheats cd which lets me find the other levels and browse them with cops turned off.

So have to complete this game, or does anyone have a 100% completed save game, which they could copy onto a memory card ( I would send one ) and send it me :P

Cheeky I know but I am moving houses soon and wont have time would be great to have access all areas on GTA SA.

Some are yes, I have the cheats disk so have explored other islands before I opened them by completing game, also though you can swim to islands but get a 4star wanted level so will warn ya there ;)

GF is on it right now trying to pass some infernal dancing mission which is elluding me right now. :erm:

Not as I know off :dozey: , it just comes with cheats for GTA SA, and thats it does its job like no cops no damage, unlimited health etc.

Wayne - Follow the side of the train, go up any verges you come across.... It's quite an easy mission as long as you stay by the side of the train.

if its the one where you pop off the dudes on top of the train on a Sanchez one trick is to ride on the edge of the track giving max distance from you to the train gives Sweet a better shot at it.

I tend to drive over the side of the track you ride on just touching the sleepers, as for the train and then having to go over the mud hills I just went for it flat out got on track slowed down then hit it once train got near so it don't pass me and I loose it. And again stayed just touching the right track side furtherst from the train.

I am in a misson with some crazy woman after robbing her stores and having to win a final race after she has dumped me for another guy and making sure i know about it and me having to win another race. Ain't tried it too much though.
