I have a man who "does" for me.
Seriously though, he is a customer of mine who is retired but does a bit of gardening on the side. I have large lawns front and back and working six days a week, if it rains on Sunday then by the time I used to get to mow the lawns it was taking me 3 or 4 hours with my Flymo. He has all the proffesional gear and charges me £15.00 a fortnight for mowing the lawns and tidying up the beds.

PS. Julian . Is the Zanussi working OK:)

Where I live, if I left it cutting my front lawn I'm sure someone would crab the thing and leg it! The kids in the neighbourhood would definitely be interested.

Oh how domesticated we are all getting!

Frankly I'm into elephants eye high here.I think a wild garden is a terrific idea.......So my husband mows the lawn.;)

ah the joys of renting, its in the contract that the landlord takes care of the garden and such, though it did get past knee high before he cut it this last weekend with a strimmer and left the cuttings to float around.
Though fair play to him it did bolt up with all the sun and rain we've been having lately :-)

*Curses exams* i wanna fool around in the sunshine

Our rental management company employ a man that does all the houses on their estates so that leaves me to just look after the borders :D

Well no to the other two but the washing is ok,followed by a tumble dry.I also cook, shop, clean, wash up,clean the toilet(ugh),bathroom, dust(under protest as I'm with Quentin Crisp on dusting) and vacuuming PLUS go out and work.Frankly I do everything else so I reckon refusing do do the mowing or the ironing is a small sacrifice the rest of the family can pay. :pp

However unlike men I don't wanna talk about these things when I come here.

Anyway back on topic,I saw the price of that 'lawnmower'.For that price you would have to beef up security for one's shed.

Guess that brings us back to Stuartb's shed. :D

Incog.

That if you leave it long enough, after a while it gets no thicker but stays the same. All the dust has settled.

Trouble is I'm never allowed to to put the theory to the test.

Living with an ex-service man is hell I tell you, hell!

One would have to assume to prove the theory you would also not be able to move and therefore disturb the dust? I doubt its true as skin makes up most of the dust and you would still be sheding skin

When I was single, I used to work on the principle that if I was disgusted with the state of the house, then it was time to do something about it.

PS If you are a smoker and leave the net curtains up long enough, they turn a delightful beige colour and are capable of standing up by themselves when you eventually take them down.

EEEWWWWWW
Well I have no lawn - my back garden is paved over (and only 25 ft square!) and I do everything else myself - hence the decorating I started 3 weeks ago is still 'ongoing' :D
(Although someone has been helping me of late - thanks for doing the kitchen floor Paul!)

Marriage is a great reformer of your housekeeping standards. :)
