Cafe Woes

I sometimes stop in the cafe on the way to work

normally go for the full vegetarian breakfast
with tea included - £2.85

thought I would economise today

went for the beans on toast with extra piece of
toast and tea - cost £3.00

That'd be more interesting than reciting the price difference between two different breakfasts at least.

how much was just beans on toast with a tea? maybe u being greedy pushed it over the 2.85 mark

maybe u should consider bringing your own toast and just getting baked beans and a cup of tea ..

I think it broke down as follows:
1 cup of tea = £0.60
Standard beans on toast = £1.80
Extra toast = £0.60

so, yes, you do see a big impact on ordereing that extra piece
of toast

tinned / fresh tomato
2 slices of toast

All for 3 quid

I go to that one occasionally. Mainly when I've been in the big M&S next door. It's the biggest Tesco I've been in! I mainly go to the Tesco in Brooklands. In fact I'm off there now!!! :D

BTW, what the hell is a vegetarian breakfast? Surely it's got to be cornflakes?!?!

Err well pork or beef sausages probably wouldn't go down too well as a vegetarian offering, they normally have eggs, beans, toast/ fried bread as well.

funnily enough i did know that......charlie asked what was in it...and obviously it would be similar to that of the non-veg variety but consisting of veg sausages/quorn :dozey:

Not always unfortunately, most places offer an egg with the breakfast but that isn't suitable to me as a vegetarian as I don't eat them. Some places have a strange idea of vegetarian substitutes;) Quorn is one substitute product but there are others that can be used depending on how much thought the restaurant puts into its menu.
Most offer a fish based dish as an alternative vegetarian meal, not all vegetarians eat fish so they are left with a limited choice.
By the way I know one place that thinks a vegetarian breakfast is Toast ;)

Or salt and pepper pots, or alcohol through a straw, or the black Welsh film festival, or washing powder, or boiled eggs, or even chips, hunting, best men and the Apple logo.

All of which have been slowly irradiating my brain cells. Just like this thread. Goodness only knows what posessed me to start feeding the you-know-who today.

I reckon it's time to call it a day on this topic. It may have been amusing to start with but I think it has outlived it's time now.
