Kronas-if you believe for one moment the image that she is trying to portray is genuine ("I don't have wardrobe people to make me look good, it's just me & my suitcase") kind of thing, then I think you are being sucked in my friend.

Artists as successful as AV are prepped & preened to appeal to a particular audience-same as any artist. She may not have an entourage the size of say Britney or Beyonce, but that is surely because (& no offence here), she is nowhere near as bigger star?

Unfortunately these days the vast majority of artists are moulded to their particular target audience, only the groups/ artist that are already big names and have history/ sales behind them and therefore more control over their contracts can be who they want ;) Avril is not that big a name yet Kronas, sometime down the road maybe but at the moment she is being shaped and prepped for all her appearances.
Maybe sometime in the future she will have grown enough to be able to say what she wants and be who she wants but for now the record company is boss.

shes not as big as britney yet but she will grow, 18 million albums sold and counting, not bad for a 'nobody' but hey the brtish public and press dont like her thats a well documented fact, after all we are infactuated with the will young's and gareth gates of this world :rolleyes:

you dont need hype, i dont, i know she is that damn good but she is truthful to the fact that she does not need 'wardrobe' people, the fact that she usally travels alone without 'assistants' even signs autographs if people stop her, i believe the image portrayed on her was that of the record companys when songs such as 'sk8er boi' and 'complicated' were released, but truely she has changed and 'grown up' she has had full creative control over this forthcoming album, did you know she did not even let 'arista' (the record lablel) even see her songs until they were recorded ?

that to me is a burden of proof enough to show to me the end product, of which i have seen to be excellent,i have heard half of the songs already and if you all were not so 'against me' all the time just because i like a young artist whos diffarent, and does not want to be a typical 'pop princess' and likes to be herself and is not afraid to speak her mind, you all think its an act ?

look at the britneys and beyonces that people lust after, they dont sing live most of the time, there songs are most written by groups, yes avril's first album was changed by 'the matrix' but she still sang live and did her thing' and this album is all her, trust me when someone has creative control you can tell, she doesnt do 'PC' in her songs, its all about producing quality music with a quality voice............

What is there for Xaccers to back up? He's not all that impressed with AV, neither am I. I would not call her untalented and I don't think Xac is either (which is something we would need to back up, if that's what we were claiming), we're just not fans of hers and neither her image or music apeals to us. Contrary to what some may think, there is nothing wrong with us for thinking so, no one artist is going to apeal to the masses to the point of total domination.

Kronas we all know how much you like her, fine. But there are many of use who do not share your enthusiasm (or interest), and likewise should be allowed to do so without criticism!

No-one is interested in riling you up. You can easily defend her without getting offensive or attacking the person whose comments you do not agree with.

I find her voice and style to have no merrit with regards to my own musical tastes which I do not expect you to share.
From the interviews I have seen/read she has come across as immature and someone who would like to be the big "i am" if only it went with her industry created image.
Physically, I do not find her attractive, as I have said, her body resembles that of a young teenage boy, something I cannot find attractive.
She also has a likeness to one of the members of henson in my opinion.

What a complete load of drivel, of course I've heard her (p*ss poor excuse for) music, and her shallow lyrics, so I'd say my judgement is based on what I've seen and heard, and you're a fine one for criticising people for going on about things, we'll be glad of more than one day where you don't harp on about this useless waste of skin.

an open letter was posted at an avril website, which stated that one band member has left the group sighting personal reasons and career changes, it was later admitted that he indeed was dating avril and they had split up

also to note a replacement has been drawn up, craig from a band called GOB :shrug:

due to bertelsmann's impending merger with with sony music, avril will be transfered to the 'RCA' record label that has artists such as christina aguilera
