Recorded and watched Hurricane on Virgin UHD channel.

Some great filming and nice Dolby 5.1 track.

Is Dolby 5.1 sound on Virgin UHD of a higher bitrate than the HD channels too?

No stuttering for me.

The Sky Cinema and Sky Originals have been flagged on search for 3 or 4 months now but there is no UHD available as of yet.

Same goes for

Back to the Future 1,2,3
Joker
Bad Boys 1&2

Cobra
Avenue 5
Sick of It
Sick Note

and many more

THe UHD flag has been showing on some films for a couple of months now - but you can't select a UHD version.

Hi first post here,

Did anyone else notice Gangs of Lemur Island was on the Virgin Ultra HD channel yesterday and all 5 episodes will be in UHD this week? It even says aired 27/05/2020 which is the same day Sky Nature launched so maybe we are finally starting to see some movement in the Sky UHD content?

Welcome to the forum

Love Nature content has always been available on the UHD Channel and continued even after the channel itself closed

Gangs of Lemur Island like a lot of the Sky Nature content is from Love Nature which has an agreement with Virgin for limited content.

I realise that if I ask for an update for Sky UHD coming to VM, that all I'm likely to get is a lot of replies including the phrase "coming soon", but this really is getting beyond a joke now!:mad::mad:

How about tomorrow, next week, next month - none of these are actually reached and are all just as likely and indefinite as 'coming soon'

Look on the bright side at least VM customers get BT Sports UHD at no additional cost - not even available through sky platform

Not always. Frame rates for UHD can vary just like they do for HD.

On the Virgin Community Help forum there is talk of an imminent announcement tomorrow (Thurs) regarding UHD Movies

Will we hold our breath?

Also someone on AVforums has said a ‘source’ claims UHD Cinema launches tomorrow
