Do you think when Tivo is launched to the masses they may sneak in a few new channels as well?

I would like to think so , don't forget TIVO is good but it's still content what attracts customers.

I think Virgin Media forgot about content.
They're like Hay Guyz get Tivo Lolz.

Anyway I find it ridiculus personally, they have no justification for putting up the cost of their tv packages to existing customers if they're not actually investing in their TV services(In terms of channels) It seems like a poor way to bleed the customer dry giving absolutely nothing back in return.

Speaking of which. What's the point of this thread exactly? Seems more like a social thread than a what's coming soon, and what's ontopic is being discussed in other forum topics, kinda rendering this thread pointless. And with no news of channels coming to Virgin in weeks..

What happened to BBC Alba? Istr it was 'coming sometime' for all of last year, but now it has dropped off the list completely. It is supposed to be launching on Freeview soon, so why not cable?

Virgins Business Plan.

- Higher Prices = Profit
- No New Channels = Profit

With no investment in their TV platform for new channels, they don't have to speand any additional money, and with more money coming in from these price hikes, they're making a few million extra a month.

Sounds like a perfect idea for them right?

It's a fact of life that services like this go up very year; Sky do the same.

Also, we've had a lot of FREE HD channels added over the last year.

In my view, the functionaity that TIVO brings via apps and streaming capability, is the way video/TV content is heading; Virgin will have the capabilty for this from the get-go via TIVO.

The way I read that article the dark side have room, but the cost is 1.5 times that of the SD bandwidth - which still has to be paid for.

Odd no mention of cable..
