When I was at my parents at Christmas the boiler broke so putting the heated blanket on for an hour before bed really helped.

You could put it on a timer for the morning if needed too.

You shouldn't actually sleep with them on anyway, use them to pre warm the bed only is the advice iirc

l have a hot water bottle every night as my partner does their last drink and the rest of the hot water goes into the bottle.

Car passed its MOT today.:) One advisory: A wiper blade needs replacing. It actually wipes fine but looks a bit tatty.
