Re: Football Season 2011/12
The talk of Nasri not being offered a good package was crap, i thought wrong. he was infact offered a very good contract but rejected it for a couple of extra millies at City. the gap isn't as big as quoted IMO, had Arsene gone and brought players, fixing the issues properly we could have seen things unfold differently. our stature is massive, the foundation was solid, the attraction was incredibly high but the neglect has destroyed it.

Nasri left because regardless of what Arsenal could offer, Man City could offer more. The sums Nasri was offered as at max £100,000 a week compared to £190,000 at City. They also stand a better chance of winning the league because they are prepared to offer these sums to the world's best players. Arsenal cannot compete anywhere near their level. ---------- Post added at 15:35 ---------- Previous post was at 15:31 ---------- Quote:
It's more likely that they will propose the European Elite League and franchise that. |

The foundation is the economic health of the club and the future prospect, all of which are fine. If we miss out on Champions League football we are still better equipped than Liverpool and Spurs to go for it again. |

what happened to the days when Wenger made signing out the blue who made progress. long gone are those days, forget twitter, they all get snatched out of our hands even when the players themselves want the move. theres way to many wrongs, it needs sorting out wouldnt you agree? we're better equipped than most of the rest yet its not good enough when theres paths available within our reach to avoid such set backs, its a waste. the foundation will become solid again when our revenue picks up and of course Wenger spends whats in the kitty. |

Arsene Wenger has rexaffirmed his commitment to Arsenal by pledging not to leave the Gunners whilst he is still under contract at the club.
Wenger has three years left on his current deal and has said in the past that a role with Paris Saint-Germain could tempt him to one day leave the Emirates. Quote:
