It's not a rumour. NTL sent it to us in a press release. |

Well they said they'd be upgraded before the end of 2006, maybe these unlimited packages are just a stop gap till they can sort out all the speed and modem issues

Re: *ALL* ntl 10Mb Discussion (Part 3)
NTL said that there would be some unlimited options as well as the 10 Mb tiers. It would appear that the unlimited options are:
2 Mb @ £24.99 1 Mb @ £17.99 512k @ £14.99 This all still fits in with what was promised. The 10 Mb options with lower usage allowances will probably follow at some time during 2006. I would presume that the unlimited tiers will have similar uploads to what they currently have. It is interesting to note that the 2 Mb and 1 Mb unlimited tiers are now shown as upto 2 Mb and upto 1 Mb instead of just being 2 Mb and 1 Mb. |

BTW - we have been informed today that all STB customers on 3 meg should have had their configs updated for the 10 meg service last night (a re-boot may be necessary). This doesn't change the fact that they may not physically get the full 10 meg download, but they should get the full 512K upload. |

I needed a hit on my stb from ntl but once that was done (and rebooted) I was up and running! :) Thu, 15 Dec 2005 21:01:30 GMT 1st 128K took 219 ms = 598502 Bytes/sec = approx 4980 kbits/sec 2nd 128K took 141 ms = 929589 Bytes/sec = approx 7734 kbits/sec 3rd 128K took 156 ms = 840205 Bytes/sec = approx 6991 kbits/sec 4th 128K took 1000 ms = 131072 Bytes/sec = approx 1091 kbits/sec Of course I'm not getting the full 10 meg downstream and there seems to be a bit of variation with the speed but I'm pleased as punch :tu: :) ---------- Post added at 21:05 ---------- Previous post was at 21:03 ---------- Quote:
