And RVP has just given Arsenal the lead with 8 minutes to go and what a goal it was.

Newcastle march on. Spurs were lucky not to have lost in added time.

Once again poor officals, Spurs should have had a corner in the last five minutes, then one offical told a Spurs player to shut his mouth, ball well over the line but play was allowed to go on.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp expects Ledley King to be out for a "while" after he picked up an abductor muscle injury in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Newcastle.

King was replaced by Sebastien Bassong in the 30th minute of the St James' Park contest and Redknapp is disappointed to see the defender out of action once again

Arsène Wenger believes Arsenal are steadily recovering their poise after a desperate summer, which saw "half the dressing room wanting to leave". Despite a traumatic start to the campaign the Arsenal manager remains confident his team have the time and ability to reclaim a place in the Premier League's top four.

Arsenal have removed fears over another big-name departure by signing Thomas Vermaelen to a new four-year deal.

Brilliant news Tommy signing a new contract. As for Wenger, well hes to blame for them wanting to leave neglecting what was required. how can you blame players being fed up of having to play with mediocre players falling short season after season.
