Re: Moans and Pet Hates
Blooming railway. This morning there was a signal fault so I was waiting at Crawley for an hour. Then that train terminated at the next station because it was soo late. Fine, I can get a connection. 8 blooming coaches. Nightmare. It's busy as it is with the derailment yesterday. Plus severe delays. The train left leaving passengers on the platform. I squeezed on.

I have friend who work for a company that sort out and put security tags and prices on good that get sent to Harvey Nichols stores, they have been put on paid suspension, and waiting to see if they get called back into work.

Just had one of these mobile emergency alerts, about made me jump out of my skin. :(
It was to do with wild fires (there are none around here). |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates
My devices alarmed numerous times. I was travelling as they came in so too many other commuters. Annoying. I remember the test on three that didn't come through lol

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
I was hoping that with the hose pipe bans that pressure washers would plummet in price but that doesn't seem to have made any difference yet. I want one for the car and crappy patio.

I think they're one of the ingredients for Voodoo and Black Magic, you may have to check facebook to see if there's someone offering potions for strange maladies . . .

Passport office want a full birth certificate to confirm my identity. I only have the red one that has my details on. So that's more waiting now. West-Sussex have a priority service for near £40. £12.50 standard service. They want my parents names on it, the full birth certificate.

My Amazon delivery driver looks like Bill out of Bill and Ted. I told and he checked him after never watching movie. Today I said oh he is also in The Lost Boys. He said "what's that?"

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
For some stupid (yet quite probably a fantastic bit of coding from experts) reason, I am now unable to see product reviews for items I *may* want to purchase.
My windows defender *spit* updated yesterday evening, which may be the culprit, but I also noticed my uBlock extension had completely disappeared from Vivaldi. Fast approaching the decision to turn my back on the uncontrollable internet altogether, and return to a 'normal' life  |

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
I don't think the adblocker is actually the reason why I can't see the reviews, that was just another annoyance. Funnily enough I've re-installed uBlock (origin lite) and it seems to be working
I can also see reviews when using the TOR browser . . . which by default tends to block damn near everything The whole interweb thing seems to be convoluted and screwed in the name of 'security' |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates
I find a lot of browser in built security extras clash with other web objects they are not meant to . Brave for example is very fussy but blocks ads better than anyone else. I have found the Idonotcareaboutcookies extension breaks some sites totally.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
Royal mail deliver stuff that isn't delivered and blame it on multiple postie's having different parcels. Huh . They have individual tracking numbers. Upon scan how can all parcels be delivered if they aren't scanned. They clearly have a system of all parcels due to be delivered then confirm all parcels if one of multiple items are delivered. I even asked the guy only one?
Sort it out Royal Mail! |
