I got some sunglasses but the store I got it from advised to inspect the packaging upon delivery. Accepting delivery is a form of approval. So now I have had to reschedule delivery for Tuesday. :(

If delivered, then you're covered by distance selling regulations.

Check out the reviews. A LOT of people have to pay return postage, return customs fees, a loss on any customisation.

You either get it spot on or you're screwed

Guess this is one of the few downsides for not being in the EU gang. The customs side of this is an instant red flag do not buy from company . If AliExpress can ship from China with a £10 declaration on it and get away with it why can't they haha

For me it is just the risk. I am a bad customer to be honest. If something is not right it triggers me. It is my control issue part of my personality disorder. I am not controlling of others but I like to control my environment and when others disturbs that I get incredibly edgy uptight and anxious. The worry about something not being right and having to deal with the possible customs issues is enough for me to say not a chance mate

Annual GP checkup this morning. She was faffing around with the blood test needle, thankfully not multiple attempts. It was simply repositioning that done the trick. ECG was normal but the blood pressure test around the upper arm was high. I had to refuse further aid. I simply put all that down to being fat which got me a follow up on July 2nd. I was offered jabs :Yikes: no thanks. I'll take the tablets but there not on the NHS yet.

I've seen a dietician and had referrals to my local fitness classes. I don't know what the docs going to say Thursday

Last week I sent two daily BP readings for four days - Sat to Tues - (8 readings total) to my Doctors.

The highest reading was 139/75 the lowest was 116/66

Not heard a thing, which is usual, I may need to change Doctors :D

My heart rate is generally around 64 to 66, doesn't mean much apart from I could probably outrun you over distance . . if chased by a herd of rabid Yorkshire Terriers :D

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

Doctors solution is to experiment. I was advised to change my eating habits and food purchases. I already know this.

The alternative is to go private for jabs which even my doc said no to. You come off them and you'll go back to your previous ways.

Damn! I'm out of ideas. I find it surprising that there are no boot camps, retreats to escape the vicious circle.

Anyone able to help me please...

I have this mattress size double

https://www.silentnight.co.uk/silent...AkajYwJGwwJGgw

I got some deep fitted sheets from vinted, if I sleep on the right... the left side comes undone. Every morning I have to pull the sheet to it's fitting around the mattress.

Sleeping in the middle makes no difference or opposite side. Are my sheets crap? Any recommendations please?

The sheets I got were bemode branded, their website is interesting...

www.bemode.co.uk

:erm:

I've found a silentnight branded deep sheet on vinted which I've ordered. Only difference is bemode are up to 40cm deep. Silentnight is 28cm deep.

---------- Post added at 19:00 ---------- Previous post was at 18:54 ----------

Oh damn. A 30cm ruler measures top to bottom. I have 10cm to play with which explains it. I thought up to 40cm covers all mattress size in between. :(

If a 40cm deep sheet won't fit you are into the realms of a bespoke make ... mega bucks or just get a king size sheet ... lots to tuck under the mattress.

My 40cm still comes untucked on my 35cm mattress. I ended up using a set of these 'Sheet Strap,Bed Sheet Clip,3 Way 6 Sides Adjustable Elastic' thingies and wonder if they could help either of you. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Auivguiv-To...hlbWF0aWM&th=1

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

Ooo an invention. Problem with that is my mattress is very heavy. It's not easy to lift or flip.

I put a 30cm ruler to the depth and it pretty much lined up perfectly to 30cm so the silentnight sheet I've ordered measuring 28cm might just work.

Probably not. Grief is a weird thing to navigate. If they knew you well they might appreciate the contact, but otherwise you’re just forcing them to navigate old memories of their mum at a time not of their choosing.

My aunty got persil laundry detergent in her eye yesterday. She was taken to an eye clinic where they done all sorts to the effected eye. I've come to Brighton today to give her company. She picked up the laundry ball with liquid in then dropped it, it hit the counter the detergent went airborne in her direction and the ball fell on the floor. She looks like a boxer just gone 12 rounds.

They say that because if 2 people go for a job and one as a FLT they are more favourable.

I see this often, especially with the bush types that are marked "no staking required".

After a major collapse due to weight snapping bundles of bamboo, I now grow my cordon toms up rebar.

Smartphones . . why do settings seem more 'confusing' than smart?

if you disable function B, function A will stop working.
however, if you disable function C2, then function A will work with function B disabled.
This also means that function D (which relies on function C2) will only work between the hours of 6pm and 4am and in silent mode, unless function E is set to enhance global volumes.
Be aware that function C2 will automatically enable itself every Tuesday and Thursday at midnight.

If you require further help, press and hold buttons K and M while tapping lightly on the top left corner of the screen.

on a serious note though, I'm certainly getting more frustrated with having to search through 15 sub menus (some hidden) to find the setting I need to enable/disable something. :(

I thought it was ID10T no need for the extra letter PEBKAC is as old as the hills

Have you tried using the Search facility in Settings?

It's quite annoying that

A) I can't spell idiot
B) The search setting is inside an area labeled:

"caution, attempting to alter settings within this menu may cause extreme bouts of anger and frustration, you're better off just setting everything to auto update then placing the phone in a drawer to do whatever it wants"

I may upgrade to an airfix model of the Golden Hind :D

Our local GP surgery is on a small back lane, barely enough room for 2 cars to pass.

The lane was completely clear of vehicles when a large van arrived to collect stuff for disposal.

30 seconds later a car appeared and parked directly opposite the van, blocking the lane. The driver got out and started shouting at the van driver, who looked totally perplexed.

"I always park here," he shouted at the van driver, "You've blocked the lane now, you *****".

Some people drive me mad at their self-importance and lack of thought.

Cable

The only things in my home that use wi-fi are those that cannot be wired, like phone, tablets and smart stuff like plugs

I'm on the train from London. Someone is having the time of his life loudspeaker playing drum and bass  it's not excessively loud. It just seems a little antisocial behaviour.

Is your avatar how you look when someone is annoying on the train?

My avatar is similar to my old passport picture only my head was up in that photo.

The guy had a suspicious old photo reel container. A not so suspicious full bottle of disaronno (lovely with Dr Pepper :o:) a change of clothes on the opposite side of the coach on the hand rail above the side of a seat.

I had my sunglasses on  so I could look at him without causing offence. I was thankful really the volume wasn't blasting. Good for him he got off at East Croydon. The rest of my journey home was pleasant.

Today is the second anniversary of my dads death.

I've just had a call from my cousin who told me that his dad died last night, and his aunt died last week. His dads sister in-law

so a pretty crap day.

Someone able to help me out please.

I renewed my passport last online. When it asked about my current expired passport I put not damaged but it was, pages were ripped, one page totally missing. Will they reject my application because I didn't put damaged old passport? I sent my old passport to them this morning.

I just called the passport office. They say after examination of my old passport, if it's deemed damaged they may process the application as a replacement not renewal therefore may need confirmation of my identity by a third person vouching for me lol long!

dodgy passport that means a visit by a man with rubber gloves and a pot of petroleum jelly to confirm your identity, you should practice bending over:)

Get a passport holder for new one, any damage if viewed at an airport means.... No fly.

How come you have missing pages, what are you trying to hide. :D

I'll look into a holder when I've received the new passport thanks.

I manhandled it, pulled it by a page while it was under things. Me being careless.

No more petroleum jelly these days because of budget cuts. Need to try and keep the cost of new passports down somehow .
