Liz Truss spent more time applying for the job than she spent doing it…

Candidacy announced 10th July, result announced 5th September - 58 days.

Time in office 6th September until 27th October - 52 days

Sunak can move past the fine alone.

I won’t and neither should the rest of the country. I’m actually agreeing with Keir Starmer, (Somebody bloody pinch me) that we can’t keep having a revolving door, with Tory experiments with Tory Prime ministers and chancellors etc etc.

Exactly. Liz Truss might well have been the least suitable for the job, but the award for “worst ever” requires a substantial track record plus some historical perspective.

Remind me, didn't she encourage British citizens to fight in Ukraine, thus not only putting them in danger but also breaking UK law, that was her wasn't it? She has a substantial track record, all of it abysmal, only good thing is she's gone before she could do any more damage, still let's see who is foisted on the public this time with 0.2% at best of the publics approval

BREAKING: Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson to run again as leader.

Johnson means the calls for an election would be weaker but it would look ridiculous and split the party. I don't think he'll get a majority of the Tory MPs so it will have to go to a vote.

Oddly if he wins, then won a general election, he draws a line under his grubby past and fully restores his mandate.

That said I think neither will happen. This is the chance for the party to underline a decade of division. It’s an existential threat to them if they don’t.

Didn't Churchill lose the election after saving the country, lets hope history repeats itself soon if this all comes to pass

At the end of each Watchdog programme they used to say something along the lines of sleep well, don't have nightmares, it probably won't happen to you. I hope that applies here :erm:
