Netflix is available on your Tivo, so you can't say that VM do not carry this service.

Why not consider changing your package and subscribing to Netflix? Might be a good decision!

Have Amazon Prime. Can't afford to subscribe to all of them just for the odd series I like. Hurry up and buy Netflix Amazon

Forces TV is always worth a look for golden oldies.

They have The A-Team starting on Monday.

Current series include: Get Some In, The Piglet Files, Wish Me Luck, Hogan's Heroes, Goodnight Sweetheart.

You probably could, actually. According to your resume, you have the full monty with VM. You could review this package and save money. For example, you could subscribe to Now TV and choose their film and entertainment passes, and scale down from your XL pack with Virgin. The movie pass alone is half the price of Sky Cinema on VM!

It would require an additional outlay for a Now TV box or streaming stick, but this is only a small cost - you could ask for a Now TV box or stick for Christmas!

I think you should look into the options available to you - maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Or even better a windows tv box slightly more expensive but worth it as you'd get every streaming service there is aswell as things like skygo (if you have sky or know someone willing to let you use there's).
