I believe DF when he says will get the full red button but I think he needs to convince the VM Forum Team Members, another quote from them.

"We do not have the rights from sky for the red button on all programmes."

No mention of at the moment or will be getting them.

red button

Well there was no red button option for yesterdays premier league survival games `eh. Much as I expected though. What was on the red button on sky sports 2 was rugby. As it was the first time I`d seen the sky red button I pressed it to see it in action. Two problems occured, 1 I couldn`t get back to the main sports 2 channel (I ended up re-setting the box) and 2 the red button and `rugby sevens `stayed on the screen the whole time I watched the footy, which was very annoying. Anyone else had the 1st problem and is the red button(dot) supposed to stay on the screen all the time?

You can usually remove the red button prompt by pressing the blue button.

Yesterday's was the first time the Sky Red Button service crashed my box "Just a moment" for 5 minutes, then had to force a reset, which took another 3 or 4 minutes to complete. Seeing as how the service was nothing more than changing from one video channel to another, with maybe a line of digital text saying "Please press BACK to exit", this really shouldn't be happening, when more complicated interactive services have been on the platform for many years.

What a cock up by VM, all the technology there is and they still cannot get it right.

I can see loads of problems coming up, l was under the impression that 'test' are carried out by engineers and the games on Sunday would have been perfect for it.

It will probably depend on the type of stb that was used?

Not a total cock up at all. Also testing will have been done way before the service went live. But things can end up being different outside of a testing situation.

Not Technically red button , but could this mean the end for the 7.00 per box premium HD charge meaning 7.00 would be for all boxes if it's true

Or SKY insist Virgin still charge £7.00 per box for their Premium channels making their own £11.00 HD multiroom deal look fantastic.

Not that fantastic

Virgin multiroom including Sky HD is £13.50 per box - so only £2.50 more (I know it's still more but not as big a jump as Sky would probably like)

:) Okay so maybe fantastic was a bit over the top. My original post should have been:

Or SKY insist Virgin still charge £7.00 per box for their Premium channels making their own £11.00 HD multiroom deal look better.

As we all know SKY apparently believe in better:rolleyes:

Personally, I think the £7 per box charge would be dropped on Virgin Media too, if Sky changed their pricing to per account.
