Judging by the layer on top of the table cover in the garden we had around 6" (carefully tries to avoid being Nanny Ogg). :rofl:

Schools are shut yet hubby managed to get to work this morning by car. :shrug: Tomorrow looks like being very icy as temperatures drop to -5.

More snow overnight, not a lot here in the center of town but the council are already Twittering school closures around the area.

Yea heard that on the news about the buses, snowing quite heavily in Newark at the moment.

I'll phone in at 9am when someone will be there to answer the phone. My wife managed to get into work, only because her mates other half has a 4x4. I'm not even gonna try and get either car going today.

Its was quite funny looking at yesterdays weather forecast's from the BBC for the Mansfield\Chesterfield area "light snow showers" LOL not so light me thinks.
I think that this calls for a fry-up :D

Stagecoach are "reviewing" the situation again, apparently cars can't get up Pecks or Skerry Hill, so don't think the Oak Tree bus stands a chance.

All schools are closed here in st helens for the second day, the snow is thicker than yesterday!, thank god its stopped now though.

realy heavy snow in newcastle area most of the schools shut ,we havn't seen the tarmac on our estate for nearly 3 weeks now .It was nice for the kids when they broke up for christmas but now it's a pain up the jaksy

A few more inches fell here overnight - It's really, really cold, but the sun is out. There may be some flooding once it starts to thaw.

Same on Teesside, we've just had hailstones too, haven't seen those for a while but they look rather large.
