Bummer! Always put a screen protector on before first use.

I can't remember why you said you need a second phone is it in case the first breaks or something?

Im a trustee for a local charity, on Monday night 3 men in a truck ripped the fire exit out of the wall, and proceeded to steal out tools.

Had the alarm not gone off they would have had all night to steal a load of tools.

But they only made off with stuff we had in boxes, but still they took about £3,000 of tools.

At least no one was there and no one was hurt. You hear and see a lot of violent robberies where they just go in and attack at least this was not one of those. It is a scary world we live in now I am still strong for now but it wont be long before life weakens me. I go so many weapons around the house all disguised and have legit purpose . Just for reference I do live in a dodgy area

I found out on Saturday that my cousin was killed.

What the police believe happened is, he had dropped a car off and was sorting out his next step when a deranged idiot who had planned to hurt someone either hit him, or the car first which hit him, then flipped onto the roof, killing him instantly.

The driver walked away pleasing mental heath issue, and is being detained pending assessment.

The police want to charge him with manslaughter, but they cant do anything at the moment.

I do not understand this post sorry

Problem is there is no proper mental health support in this country. I was recently referred to my local mental health team I will not go into details why but the relief I felt to get the referral I thought finally someone is going to take me seriously. After all it has been 50 years since the medical incident that started it all. I got a telephone consult with a social worker who then took her report to others and I was offered nothing.

Now I am not a psychopath but they could not possibly know this. I am not a danger but they can not possibly know this but they did not even see me even though my council housing officer saw me in a state and thought me bad enough to step in and try to get me help

This guy could well be using this as an excuse but he was labelled a "deranged idiot" so he could well easily be a psychopath.

Any one of us is only one life event from a total break down and thankfully most people will not experience the event that would have tipped you over the edge. This is not in any way belittling the loss of a loved one but maybe if this guy was offered proper help it would not have happened

End of the day mental health support in this country is pitiful and my pet too

Someone left a young dog outside in the heat all evening. It was yelping continuously, but no neighbour could get an answer at the address, nor could they get into the garden.

Apparently, the police said they could not attend, and the RSPCA did not answer the phone.

I think I understand how those who commit school shootings felt before they acted because I have felt like that too

I was bullied really badly at school both physically and emotionally and I was physically abused by my mother. By the time I hit 13 my metal state was bad I was glue sniffing most days if not that anti perspirant cans in car parks.

I was thinking about it this morning and I remembered how I used to fantasise about shooting those at the school who bullied me most and at the time I wanted that revenge. At this point in my thoughts I realised shit this must be something like they felt . I went cold all I can do is thank God I had no access to guns because who knows what might have happened. Scary thoughts

So I guess my hate today is that people did back then and still today think it is ok to bully others. They have no idea the psychological damage they are doing and it is awful

I've likely not been on any public transport in atleast 10 years in the UK.

Not good news, it means the driver is now out of work, and if the cart isn't used it won't break, so the cartwright and blacksmith will be struggling too.

I usually go for Cherry Keyboards, very solid, metal lined and mechanical keys. Good for millions of key presses. Also very heavy, noisy but superb build quality.

The K70 pro uses Cherry Mechanical switches and these are what are now chattering I have favoured Brown. The BeQuiet is the first keyboard I have chosen that is not cherry and not clicky as such which is strange to get used to

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

Netgear & Microsoft

Netgear components, specifically usb adapters. Windows doesn't seem to get along with them. So there's a thumb drive or pre downloaded drivers on the machine. Offline, Microsoft cannot verify the driver's so blocks it

Quote:

the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation
Online, the installation goes smoothly.

This defeats the whole purpose of needing the device for internet connectivity. You buy the product to gain internet connectivity.

This happened with a previous Netgear adapter but this time only the latest drivers from Netgear support website worked so the supplied disc with drivers on is useless.

I agree. Summers now are either too hot, too dry or too wet. Still, the allotment can do with a bit of rain so not all bad. Personally I don't care what the weather is as long as it's under 24-25c. I can't do with the heat so I don't like the summer months at all.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

RyanAir digital check in, if someone is flying to the UK they can check in a month or so before however the boarding pass won't get issued until 48hrs before the flight due to ETA authorisation, no idea why it has to be 48hrs and it can't be issued before when the ETA is attached to the passport, this creates unnecessary stress.

I guess it's the same for all airlines though.

The omission of packing and use-by dates is part of our current packaging format and is not an error. Seed quality is monitored through batch control and germination testing programmes to ensure that all seed supplied meets our quality standards at the time of dispatch."

About an hour ago (today 15th June) I received an email from VM.
The usual stuff telling me how to be secure online, the marvelous things I can watch on TV (and even more if I upgrade), how I can recover space on my phone, my 'indispensable guide to the biggest FIFA World Cup ever', which hand to wipe with etc etc.

The email is dated 12th June.

efficient . .

It's a new thing for them as I just checked all old packs, and the date and useby dates have always been printed on the packs.

I was sowing the seeds that arrived, and the average content is marked as "25 seeds". I got 26, 6 with a lot of chaff, and 7 with a lot of chaff. Stern email going off later.

I've sown supposedly out of date seeds and they've germinated fine.. Just like the use by date on foods, not to be taken literally.

It's a plastic rowse bottle. I put some hot tap water in and gave it a violent shake. It's all in a disposable plastic container now.

The driver has been charged with "Death by dangerous driving" and is remanded in custody.

I guess Manslaughter would have been harder.

His funeral is Thursday.

Death by dangerous driving is easier to "prove" legally and thus convict, both can result in a Life Sentence.

I can not imagine a worse time for you and his family . I have lost close friends to sudden shocking death but never a family member and so far have always had time to prepare as it were first. My condolences to you and the family
