:D :D :D

Even disregarding the content, they are an utter embarrassment.

In the old days, of course, TV channels were subject to minimum standards of quality control which this outfit would never have passed. Even by todays 'Let the market decide, do as you please' standards, they are the laughing stock of the TV industry.

That will be interesting on a low budget. Let's see how it compares with all of the other things they "planned".

I dare say it will just be a newsreader with clips of footage from other broadcasters. I can’t see it being very impressive!

There were stories around about launch time and gist was the other broadcasters refused to supply them.

That's true. I'm not sure why they would be allowed to take content from a news agency pool without having anything to contribute to it.

I’m not sure what has improved. We have more channels it’s true, but no more new content - just more repeats and simulcasts.

It’s all smoke and mirrors to cover up the fact that more new US content is going to the streamers and less to Sky.

Well you can include CNN in that...

Really shocking the lack of news channels from america now. i'd have thought NBC or CBS would step in now and seize the gap in the market now!

Got CBS and NBC News Now on the firestick but i'll miss wolf blitzer and his glorious beard

Yup.

On Virgin Media the CNN picture was replaced at two minutes past midnight with a slate advising viewers that it had been removed and to try Sky News, BBC Nrws or Bloomberg as an alternative. They seem to have had the sense not to suggest GB News this time!

There is no mention of the alternative ways to continue to receive CNN.

A minute later the audio was removed and the channel is now silent. Bloody great :(

Do you mean you think it's excellent editorially, technically or for it's in depth, wide ranging and comprehensive news coverage?

Weird that Sky Arts is the only channel out of sequence with its HD channel, could easily have been avoided. It's not being treated very well considering Sky were touting it as their equivalent to a PSB.

Yes, that is very odd.
