Thanks. Looks like VM aren't bothered about the extra competition for some of their linear channels, so this factor at least wouldn't prevent the Now TV app from launching.

I'm sure the fact Virgin pay wholesale to include some of the content on their own platform is a factor.

Just been dabbling with the Prime Video app

I noticed it’s not streaming in UHD 4K it is HD only

Also no x-ray info.

My LG TV app has more.

Nevertheless it’s good to be able to do one search for all using the v6

Search facility (from V6 Home screen) not working correctly for me. Prime Video content either not been listed in the generic search or misses episode info etc.?

Seems to be working for me although it's not showing the UHD content unless you search from within the app. Just did a search for a few shows I know are on Prime (American Gods, New Amsterdam and The Grand Tour) and the V6 search found them albeit only the HD verions.

Amazon never has shown UHD as default you always have to search but if watching a UHD version press the up arrow while playing it says HD and not UHD.

There is no UHD output.

I don't think there is anything linear on Amazon which VirginMedia media doesn't offer at all, or offers it much cheaper.

Eurosport is £7 per month on Amazon - unless you get lucky with an offer.
Most of the other stuff is not available on VirginMedia at all - so no worry for VM or Amazon.

Amazon is a real pain as it always selects the non-UHD version by default on all devices.

Some competition is bound to occur anyway if an organisation is a super-aggregator of content.
