From a personal point of view United defended too deeply in this game, allowing Arsenal to come on to them, this happens time and time again against decent sides..........Just play your normal game Fergie  |

Now now Russ get your facts right, We have not beaten the premiership champions twice as we have only played them once which resulted in a 1-1 draw and the follow up game wtih Chelski is not until May at the Emirates. Nice to see Van The Man Persie can still put it in the back of the net and then picked up while celebrating a Rooney type injury, broken metatarsal and will be out for 6 weeks. Still nice comfortable win for us as Neville hacking Henry should have been a Penalty or a booking for Henry as surely he dived in the eyes of a United fan. Still the Worlds best footballer of this time sealed the day and sent the Smug United fans packing. :D Theres only one Thierry Henry. :D Sad part is Uniteds manager cant be bothered any longer to give interviews so puts his number 2 Queiroz up for the flack. Not many are as much as a wimp as he is even Jose put his hands up to a bad display and is honest but Fergie and Redknapp leave it up to their number two to give the excuses. :D |

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Mr. Wenger does indeed talk to the press (except after the West Ham game, but we'll gloss over that). It's instructive that the three Premiership managers who won't talk to the BBC are the kind of big, bluff, no-nonsense Brits that are always banging on about these touchy foreigners coming over and not being able to understand the British way - well, those foreigners seem to be bit less touchy than Big Sam, 'arry and Fungusmoan.

If by some miracle Man Utd had actually won the league recently, you'd be calling them 'champions' all season, United Boys. Give Chelsea that respect (and no more, they don't deserve it and are going to implode - what a shame they gave us Gallas and £5m for that **** Ashley Cole, who I note failed to do his job and close down that other **** Pennant on Saturday. Kerching, chalk another one up for Arsene). As for overpriced players, our back four cost Clichy - £250,000 Senderos - £1.3m Toure - probably about £250,000 Eboue - £1.3m Seems a pretty good deal, really, compared with Oops-There-Goes-The-Ball Rio Ferdinand. |
Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
well i blame VDS for the second goal as he should have been able to tip it over.. the first was onstoppable but he still should have been closer to the ball.. you only need to watch him on the balls Rio and Vidic clear to see he has no clue any more
fair play to Arsenal they didn't give up and we surrendered the ball to them too easily all the time says alot about us that we prefer 35 yo Larsson to Saha up front and that great signing Park couldn't even make the bench |

The reason both Ferguson, Redknapp and now Big Sam don't talk to the BBC is because of the documentaries that are full of rubbish that they have shown about them and in Fergies case his son Pretty pointless really especially if you are innocent and I disagree I bet there are thousands of young kids who get up early on a Sunday morning to watch MotD and are constantly disappointed by their lack of interviews, they are the one's that pay the price, so they can make these principled stands. Seems to me that the investigation was about corruption in football and imo the game is rife with it, needs overhauling from top to bottom and I be very shocked if you didn't think managers weren't on the take as well |
