I hope not, that programme was truly dreadful, I ditched it during the first episode, quite an "achievement" on its part.

Dont bother, i have just turned it off after 5 mins. I wanted to persevere for comedic value but it literally gets worse by the second and i couldnt bring myself to watch anymore.

I watched it last night.

I dont really see what was so bad about it, sure it was a bit cheesy in places, but it was ok, much like Legend of the Seeker, nothing special, but watchable.

I avoided the Legend of the Seeker because I really detested the books..

Are you familiar with Simon Stålenhag? Deadline reports Amazon has ordered a new TV show based on the artist’s work called Tales from the Loop.

The sci-fi series “explores the town and people who live above “The Loop,” a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction.”

Amazon has ordered eight episodes of Tales from the Loop. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

I watched a show from last year over the weekend.

Lifeline

... the show tells the tale of an insurance agency that uses time travel to prevent the deaths of their clients. After the company's best agent, Conner Hooks, accidentally causes his wife's death during a save-gone-bad, he attempts to find her killer while searching for a way to travel back in time and reverse history.
Its only 8 episodes (25 mins each), but I quite enjoyed it.

Netflix has ordered a spin-ff from Z-Nation, called Black Summer, also due in 2019.

The series does not need rebooted. If anything a continuation with an older Buffy and a new young slayer.

absolutely, as much as I have gone on about remakes in the past saying they aren't bad because it is nice to have the new effects on stuff like BSG, Buffy is definitely one thing that never needs remaking. I am working my way through them all while I have lunch everyday on my tablet and they still move me as much as they did 20 years. Nothing is ever going to bear the relationships and dynamic between the characters, the humour and wit and the overall unique and very special feel the show had. SMG is amazing. All you have got to do is look at the new Charmed reboot to see it isn't going to work. When magic and spiritual stuff are involved you like the idea of more modern series because they can make it look more real and believable but it has also got to be supported with good acting and stories and I just ever see anything living up to the original as far as Buffy is concerned.

They should do a final episode where they place the program itself into room 101....

Very meta...

Interesting. So not a reboot at all but a continuation of the story then, or a reboot with all new characters.

Also opens up the opportunity for cameo appearences by the original cast I would hope.
