If they gave us the Now TV app the problem of cost wouldn't arise for those who didn't want to pay.

I have some sympathy with Arthur and I think perhaps VM could put together an additional package of miscellaneous smaller channels that people could choose to subscribe to if they wanted more choice. However, I don't think we are really missing much, apart from SA.

I think/hope this will be the future.The tivo will/should have apps for prime content like sky atlantic,amc,netfix,amazon prime,bt sport etc.That way the people that want those channels subscribe and the ones who are happy with a more basic channel selection can have smaller bills.As i have mentioned before we should be able to streamline the channels we want to watch and not have a lot of dross impinged on us by the "bundles".

November news update.

Last Night (November 1st) saw three channels being axe from Total Channels.

Also we have seen that Yooplay is set to close on Virgin Media UK on Demand from November 5th*.

*Info from our V+ and V Boxes.

One does not expect anything so one cannot be too disappointed although it would be nice to have Sky Atlantic and ITV Encore though.

BT Sport confirmed two games on Virgin UK Channel 548 this week.

BT Sport has confirmed the following games will also be shown on BT Sport Freeview on Virgin UK Channel 548 this week:

-Wednesday - Champions League - Chelsea VS Dynamo Kiev - From 7pm.
-Thursday - Europa League - Rubin Kazan VS Liverpool - From 6pm.

Liberty Global And A+E Networks Expand Pan-European Partnership.

John Malone’s Liberty Global has extended its distibution deal with A+E Networks and is also launching two new HD channels in the UK. The long-term pan-European carriage deal covers A+E Networks’ UK channels on Liberty Global platforms in the UK, Ireland.

Lifetime and H2 will be also now be available in HD in both the UK and Ireland for the first time.

Hopefully Next Year Virgin Media will get Universal Channel HD, History HD, Tru TV, Spike UK, AMC UK, CI HD, ITV Encore, Disney Channel HD, Sky Atlantic HD (Not Holding my Breath) and E! HD etc.
