By end of 2021 for Virgin Media too

A quarter of premises (3.6 million) passed by Virgin Media’s network now have access to next-generation connectivity as the company remains on track to roll-out gigabit speeds to its entire network - more than half of the UK - by the end of 2021.

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2020)

Right now i've read that document properly it was a big one i shall state as much as i can.
The 2022 thing is indeed including VM and Openreach the exact wording is "plan to reach 95% of UK with ultrafast by qtr4 2022 OR (Openreach), VM(Virginmedia), SKY(SKY),BT(BT), TT(Talktalk), HO(Hyperoptic) CF/V(Cityfibre/vodafone). So it looks like it's one huge joint project between several providers. They key word there is "aim" which as we all know most likely means half of the 95% will actually get completed.
Interestingly Plusnet are not mentioned in that document at all last we heard from them was 3 weeks ago "we aim to continue to be value for money offering fast broadband speeds"
As i said before this is only in the proposal stage i'm inclined to agree with what one poster mentioned that 2022 is unlikely more along the lines of 2030 i personally think.

The notification from ITV mentions nothing about where the SD version of ITV will go. Maybe we are only getting it in HD.

https://www.itv.com/news/calendar/20...-media-viewers

From next Tuesday, November 3rd, Virgin Media will broadcast our two regional services at ITV News Calendar - for the North and South of the region - in HD on channel 103. That's also a new number for the ITV HD channel on Virgin which is switching from channel 113.

It means all the satellite and cable providers will now be broadcasting the news for your part of our region on ITV HD on channel 103. Freeview is unaffected.

So, the correct channel to watch is:

Sky, Freesat and Virgin Media ITV HD on Channel 103.

Freeview/Youview users already get ITVHD on 103 - but possibly not the correct region.

We dont get all the regional versions of BBC1 on VM, unlike Sky. However the other BBC1 "nations" services are on VM 861-864 inc BBC1 London, and also ITV London is on 853.

You can get to see all local news programmes via iPlayer just search for the title eg "South Today"
