... and with the new TiVo software, you can use Series Link+ to put both of those Catchup programs into My Shows when they become available.

That's what I was suggesting; 'Catchup'. It should be available via the backwards epg a day or so later.

Did a test speed comparison for a TiVo app and same app on smart to very shocked. Virgin said that's just how long it's meant to take lucky it's not longer

Take a look at this video on YouTube:

Our Virgin Sources says "By Olympics games" dated from last July.

We have still to get an real launch month or even an date but we do know that Virgin Media UK are testing the new TiVo box out.

We still cant post any information on what all the new toys is on the TiVo box. (Some posters will be happy).;)

Careful old chap, you know what happens when you raise expectations, so it'd better be good!

The main problem with that is if there are programmes set on all tuners on different channels that are due to start at the scheduled end time of the event that is running late. If that happens, one of your recordings will fail to record (or commence recording after the start, if this is how the box is configured).

Unfortunately, new Ofcom rules may make matters worse with regards to clashes The TiVo, from what I can gather, won't allow people to use 'negative padding' to end a programme before the end. Understandably because, in normal circumstances, this wouldn't make any sense!

I think that if we are lucky to have smart to it is a good substitute for the apps on the current gen TiVo then we are lucky, if you don't have a smart to well it's not good
