Meh, talking about the past just makes the present state of WWE look pants :(

I know it can't be brought back and I know they make a tonne of money but I just can't find the entertainment in it I used to see. It's like turning Cena Heel would bankrupt the company or something.

Give me one match consisting of.

Kurt Angle vs Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler vs Shawn Michaels vs Taker vs CM Punk vs William Regal vs Chris Jericho.

Mix them up in singles each week!

Heel Cena
Heel Chael Sonnen.

Ha, created my dream card :(

I also think a heel Cena would be a huge failure simply because I don't think he has the move-set. Heels tend to use different moves to faces plus they tend to bump more - Cena is now the wrong side of 35, for him to be an effective heel he'd need to still be a main-event guy and that would require almost Ziggler-level bumps. Cena doesn't bump very well as it is now. As a heel I think it would be terrible.

Inadvertently ended up watching a bit of Raw (recorded show ended and I had SS2 on beforehand), loved the Bryan match.

If they aren't going to put Punk or Bryan on the title hunt(s), I think those two teaming up would be a good way to demolish The Shield. Saying that, hopefully with Punk & Ziggler back they can rely less on The Shield anyway, so they're not as overbearing.

How many guys here have seen the WWE live? I've been to 3 shows. One was a RAW roster show in Glasgow, one a Smackdown roster show in Edinburgh and the other was WWE Rebellion at the Sheffield Arena back in 2000. It was a SKY Box Office event. Brilliant night.

I remember Kurt angle, The Rock, Steve Austin and Rikishi fighting in the main event. The Titan Tron was showing the SKY Box Office feed so you could see what the people at home where watching. At the end of the fight the PPV feed ended and the Titon Tron went to a test card then blank. At this point The Rock and Steve Austin hung around laughing and joking with one another in the ring smashing beers together etc.... It was so cool.

Good luck with the tickets. Watching the WWE live is amazing.

I'm happy that I managed to see all of the big names from the late 90's and early 00's live. Guys like HHH, Ric Flair, The Rock, Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Edge, Chris Jericho, The Big Show, Kane and The Undertaker. Gutted I never managed to see Hogan or Bret Hart live. They came to Scotland about 22 years ago but I couldn't get a ticket. I was however out in Glasgow with my Dad when I saw the Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart and The Mountie buying Scottish tourist trash from a shop. I was so in awe I literately froze on the spot for about a minute.

When I went to see the WWE at the SECC the wife and I went for a walk around the outside of the venue because we had arrived much earlier than planned. We saw the Big Show out the back wearing a horrific pink Hawaiian shirt and smoking a massive cigar. He was chatting away to Ray Mysterio who wasn't wearing his mask. I was about 26 at the time but again froze on the spot :D

Would like to go, but tickets are expensive and not only that, I'm not really that into WWE at the moment. I go through peaks and troughs, and at this precise moment I'm a bit meh about the whole thing. I still keep an eye on the results on RAW and SD, mainly because I download them for my brother to watch.

But yeah, if I get into it big time again I might ask for money at Christmas to go towards going next year. If I had the money, I'd buy a package and go to WM.

I've not really properly followed the WWE now since about 2006. It was not long after Eddie Guerrero died and Kurt Angle left to go to TNA.

I really enjoy the history of wrestling now more than anything else. Don't get me wrong I know about 80% of the WWE and TNA roster but I couldn't tell you who the current champs and and who they beat for the belts. I catch the Hall of Fame induction each year and catch the WWE Legends of Wrestling round table discussion shows from the States. The round table discussion show is, in my humble opinion, the best programme the WWE are putting out. Always wondered why SKY didn't pick these up. Means I've got to grab them from one of the 2 dedicated wrestling torrent sites.

Whilst I may not watch wrestling now, going to WrestleMania is still a dream of mine, The wife and I plan to fly drive the States in about 2 years time. If we could plan to see either WrestleMania or SummerSlam during that trip, I'd be one very happy guy.

Been to Braehead twice, production wasn't great but daughter got to see Cena and I got to see Punk. Seems strange to say but its kinda diluted when there's limited mic time at house shows, the promos are sometimes better than the bouts.

Very true. Teddy Long did a bit on the mic at the SECC, prior to the show starting, to warm the crowd up but there was nothing after that. The fights happened back to back in quick succession. It seemed a bit sterile. The Big Show was epic. I was sitting near to the ring just behind a section that had been roped off for wheelchair bound fans. After his fight the Big Show was over pretending to crush kids heads, posing for pictures, signing autographs then shouted something about a haggis.

For anyone who has never seen any episodes of WWE Legends of Wrestling, I've just noticed some of the episodes are on Youtube.

I used to enjoy the vintage collection, then I realised it's because it mainly shows WcW, I liked the attitude era on wwe and haven't like much before or since tbh, haven't bothered with it since it went all pg. imo the best thing that could happen to wwe is for tna to grow stronger, at least then they'd have to put the effort in more than just a few times a year.

Decided to get the PPV, the divas match was certainly interesting...

unlike the main event.

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)

I was gutted. On another Forum, there was a PPV prediction game and had I gone with what I wanted in one match I would have won outright instead of being in a 4 way tie for the win. Oh well.

Would there be sufficient interest to run a prediction game in this thread for future PPV's?
