England under previous managers give off vibes of being nervous. Today they've been composed and look capable of going up a gear if needed. Croatia isn't a free hit. This is an impressive performance. I can only imagine what the wholly with the brolly would say.

(Re England).

Overall, it was a good win, the defending (esp in the first half) was questionable.
On the other hand, we looked good going forward, and really should have scored more.

It does feel like we'll need to outscore any opponents, given how we defended.

Yeah it was a good performance but we shouldn't get carried away it's only one game!

No foreign manager has won the world cup.

On another point, this year would have been their 60 wedding anniversary, they saw the WC final in Guernsey.

Ismael Kone (Canada) suffers horrific injury. The replays show his left lower leg somewhat dangling which indicates a brake.

Assim Omer Madibo (Qatar) initially given a yellow is sent off after var intervention.

Yeah, Qatar havent exactly shone in this one, 2 x red cards, and 6 - 0 down.

100% it was a break, you could hear it as it happened. Horrific. Qatar seemed to think it was an mma match and not football.

Didn't see the match so can't comment on the foul but it sounds horrific

Looked pretty similar to the injury Danilo got on the opening day of 24-25 playing for us, although his wasn't a tackle, he just landed funny when he'd jumped for a ball.

Fox didn't show it but they said another broadcaster did rerun the incident because it came up on their monitor. I searched x last night to watch it again. Ramsey and Eduardo of Arsenal had brakes and still went on to play again. Wishing him the best of luck :tu:

It was a nasty break. The live camera showed his shock too, as he looked at the angle his lower leg was at.

He needs surgery on it. Appears to be a tib and fib fracture. Can take up to 12 months to fully heal and return to normal activities.

Let's all wish him a speedy recovery. No one wants to see any player hurt I'm sure we all agree on that.
