I'd love to find places that do lamb doner made with meat not the elephant's foot thing, how it was originally intended to be done. Souvla is the word in Greek as opposed to souvlaki which is small pieces of meat. And to be offered pork in addition to lamb and chicken, but this would be more Greek and most kebab shops are "Turkish".

There's a German donner kebab in Winchester, its not exactly the original but there is little grease and it actually tastes nice

On Friday I ate at mcdonalds and had 3 cheseburgers with extra catchup,extra onions and mac sauce :)

They are even better with the mac sauce...

The last 2 restaurants I've been to I've had to have my mains returned and had to have taken them off the bill. (And go without).

Seems now they've upped their prices but reduced the standards, quality and quantity to the point where it's just not worth eating out anymore. I can actually cook and do better than a lot of the restaurants in our town so apart for just a couple of places now I will just won't bother anymore. It takes a lot of prep for me to get out now, but seem I end up disappointed all too often. I will not pay high prices for the crap they are now serving.

And one of the best places to eat in my area are now shutting up due to high costs. Even though it is listed as No2 on TripAdvisor for my town and I would agree with that too. Such a shame but it's happening all over.

Even usual takeaways are now crap as well. You can tell they're all cutting corners.

Maybe I should put this in Moan of the day thread lol. Anyway, moan over....

Hmmm.. I got loaded fries, it's hard to mess up a mess that is loaded fries. Bar the jalapeno it was alright. My aunty was recommended to get the Korean glazed strips, she did and was massively disappointed.

On my return to Crawley I got two double cheeseburgers with extra onions from McDonald's.

Went to the local Beefeater on Sunday, enjoyed it as always. :)
Been going for over 25 years, but this was the last visit as they all close in a few weeks. :(

We have one more trip to the local Brewers Fayre as well, before they all close.

Bar + Block, will close on September 3.
Table Table and Cookhouse will close on September 3.
Brewers Fayre will close on September 7.
Beefeater will close on September 10.
