Quite.

More and more stories emerging indicating that Labour HQ were uncooperative if not downright obstructive of the remain campaign.

I'm ignoring the percentages. The inner-city Labour voters went with remain but I doubt that's anything to do with Labour's campaigning.

This bunker mentality Corbyn is adopting helps no-one, and the way in which his cabal are propping him up at the expense of the Party is grim.

I'm now near-certain that Corbyn voted Leave. Hear papers have more tomorrow.
His fan club will no doubt still carry on worshipping at their Corbyn shrine even if it ends up being shown that he lied to them and indirectly helped pull them out of the EU.

These are the same people complaining loudest.

This is incredibly frustrating. The Tories are a mess right now, government is paralysed, however the Conservative Party are at least relatively orderly, Labour are in open civil war with themselves, with a whole bunch of help from the SWP. I'm a member of a party whose leader is being propped up by this bunch:

Pass me that Liberal Democrats application, please?

Might as well stay to vote in the leadership contest.

Looking at that rally, John Mcdonnell, I have just decided is as deluded as his bloody leader.

That's alright then.

Funny you should say that. Remember Nick Clegg?

Nick Clegg predicted the future with stunning accuracy

Published the day before the referendum:

...the Conservatives descend into a bloody leadership election

Check.

As politicians bicker, you become increasingly unnerved by what’s happening in the economy, too: overseas investors take fright; money flows out of the country; our credit rating is slashed

Check.

Nicola Sturgeon soon announces that preparations have started for a second independence referendum, claiming it is the only way to keep Scotland in the EU. And this time most commentators think that she will win.

Gah.

Still, at least they will finally sort out our borders, right? After all, ending mass immigration was the Brexiteers' biggest claim of all. So imagine how you’ll feel when you discover that they don’t have a plan for that either?

This is getting eerie now.

And then there’s that faintly queasy feeling you get when you see Donald Trump on the TV, visiting the UK on Friday, declaring his joy at the Brexit vote.

He's inside my head.

Don't worry, everyone living in England but living outside of London got screwed years ago an they survived.

They watched manufacturing jobs go abroad, an they survived, London bankers better learn customer service skills. Time to clean those rooms and answer those phones.

I am lost for words.

Labour are self imploding akin to the tories in the 1990s, Labour has growing membership, the left finally had a voice, there is lots of support for corbyn from labour members, but his MPs seems stuck in a different world and want to go back to been a clone of the tory party. Who in their right mind thinks a party divided this public would convince the public to vote for them in a general election? The tories must be thinking they cannot believe their luck as otherwise the focus would be on them instead with their own EU divide.

At first I thought corbyn been leader was crazy but it was pointed out to me it makes them a better opposition and it has, and it has brought more balance to politics. It would have been interesting to see how he would fare at a election, but looks like now we wont see that, as I cannot see anything other than a change of leader now, although it would be very funny if he won a new leadership challenge, the labour members telling their MPs for a second time they wrong.

The problem is Chrys, the referendum campaign has exposed just how utterly useless he is as a leader. That's why they're no longer prepared to put up with him.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

They need to be sensible about it, wait for him to lose an election and resign right after as is the fashion to do so.

Only very shortly ago their own members voted him in, they have to honour that vote and give him a chance.

The referendum was a cross party national thing, it was not a FPTP vote meaning its much harder for parties to control the result like the undemocratic FPTP. He cannot be blamed for the result.

It looks to me this must have been planned and they were just waiting for an excuse to start the coup.

This is how a professional shadow cabinet member reacted, burnham. The one's who quit are acting like school children. Probably only concerned about if their own seat is safe rather than standing for principles.

But he is simply unelectable and its looking quite likely that a general election could be in the offing way before the agreed 2020 date.

---------- Post added at 16:38 ---------- Previous post was at 16:32 ----------

Jeremy Corbyn loses no confidence vote by 176 to 44.
