This Top Gear 'controversy' is starting to look very orchestrated.

If the Beeb reported that someone farted in the canteen there'd be a petition/endless news coverage/a debate about who did it/a men v women who-can-fart-the-best discussion/a lesbian-transgender-homo-hetero-disabled-mentally challenged-bake-off. Strewth.

It's just cars with over-enunciated and predictably boorish presentation. Alf Garnet could do the job.

The only ever review i found useful from Top Gear was the review on the Vauxhall Vectra that showed that the steering was awful above 40mph. I was actually looking to buy one new until i saw the review and opted for a Renault Megane instead.

The beeb will always need a "middle aged men behaving badly" type of show. I doubt this is the end for TG.

That was "old" Top Gear, IIRC. Clarkson did his review to a soundtrack of "We were never being boring" by the Pet Shop Boys and accused GM of "industrial arrogance" for producing such a lacklustre vehicle. Vauxhall refused to talk to him for months afterwards. :D

Old Top Gear reviewed ordinary cars in order to help ordinary consumers make informed choices. New Top Gear cooks up crazy stunts to give ordinary consumers a vicarious thrill from cars they could never afford, and situations they never encounter.

I dont think he liked my little car. He smashed one up with a sledgehammer, to show what he thought of it. I love it though, cheap to run and gets me from A-B. Its a Perodua btw

Yep looks like a middle-aged, rich Yorkshire Tory voting man who acts like a teen who thinks he can do and get away with anything while driving expensive cars which we can only dream of owning.
