---------- Post added at 13:41 ---------- Previous post was at 13:33 ---------- MP's have written to the CEO of VM calling for the company to carry Premier Sports as a matter of urgency (before the end of this month) in time for the rugby world cup. VM have a large customer base in the north where this sport is popular and the members of parliament think that VM should carry the channel as 3 years of negotiations have come to nothing. Does anybody think that this will mean Premier Sports arrives on VM? |

Did they also contact the owners of Premier Sports? Seems to me that Premier Sports wanted to sneak a Premium service in through the back door, so that all VM XL TV subscribers pay for it, not just sports fans as it would be if added as a separate Premium, charged for service. We do that already with BT sports (which I don't object to) but adding another Premium sports service in the same way would be just taking the 'P'. VM did the right thing to refuse Premier Sports this back door way of getting on to VM. |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 5.
Personally l cannot see Premier Sports arriving anytime soon and a more likely scenario is that it will be swallowed up by a bigger better financed company.
