I've taken someone's word for it that apparently knows someone higher up with BT, said they had heard there were 5 openings in the area, maybe being a bit naive in believing it, could and probably will be a load of rubbish.

Their recruitment process seems to be like BSkyB, in that, if you pass you have to wait for a position that's in your postcode?....Newcastle Upon Tyne here.

I like others have just been given a job offer with kelly's starting on the 14th of this month.I have read all the stories on here and still willing to give it a go and work at it.I am to be paid £60 per day while training and the the usual self employed rate while training.I am to receive all my uniform,a fuel card and company van ..what is in the van when you get it and what tools are you given ?

Re: Kelly's BT Openreach Engineers

depends on the role ie provision engineer or managed installs. normally a ford transit but have seen all types of short wheel based vans and also ford connects..tools same as bt except no laptop you use a blackberry i think .

Hi I applied for the post a couple of weeks ago and not heard anything other than an automatic email saying they'll contact me within 4 weeks, just wondering how long did it take generally for others to be contacted? Not sure if it's worth contacting recruitment for an update? Cheers

Hi dog, took months for me to hear from them, but others seem to hear a lot faster.....but must say that communication is bizzarely not a strong point for them.I start next Thursday and had my first contact from them today since the offer....asking me to try and get a lift from another coming up from Redruth......where are you?
