As said in my first post on this topic, the case is not about money, it is about gay rights.

They are making a stand.

They are definitely making a stand, however they are also trying to give the hoteliers a good kicking. Nobody demands £5,000 compensation when it's not about the money.

Well, presumably other hoteliers will think twice about barrings gays from sleeping in the same room if they get awarded £5,000.

So why ask for 5k? Why not 500 quid. Don't you think 5k is a bit excessive?

I think their solicitor might have had a say in that.

And of course, I'm assuming if they win they'll ensure it all goes to charity.

But only to a gay charity no doubt.

Putting aside the sexuality and religious aspects i think all we have here is a couple of chancers looking to use their sexuality to make a big row and profit from it. I seriously doubt that if they win any of the money will go anywhere but in their pockets and certainly won't be going to any charity any of us have ever heard of.

They were not told they couldn't stay at this establishment they were not refused service they were simply limited in the type of bed they could have and thats it. This should be thrown out of court at first hearing it really is that stupid and the way that their sexuality and religion have come to the fore is more to hide the fact they are simple chancers then anything else.
