What about the speakers - monitor - modem - router - printer?

I'd always have (And I do for my pc AND tv stuff downstairs) a good surge protector :)

Tagan 480W, has over voltage + power + current protection, and under voltage protection which is what surge protectors are arn't they?

Outdated version. I can't seem to find the one I have, but it has more features than the website I bought it off originally had, but it says it in my manual :confused:

Anyway surge protectors are usually useless after a strike - as they rightly commit suicide to protect the equipment.

Personally I'd rather just have to buy a new protector - than have to get and fit a new psu.

Odd, www.tagan.com has the exact same info about the 480w PSU as that site i linked to.... You sure, and that you didnt read it somewhere else...... I hope your not running without a surge protector :Yikes: :disturbd: :disturbd: :disturbd:

I always have my expensive stuff running off surge protectors, and always will ;)

I don't understand why my PSU has more features, for one it has 2 seperate GFX card connectors, one for AGP and one for PCI-E, and instead of 2 SATA connectors it has 4. More features added aswell, just can't get them off the top of my head :erm:

2 GFX card connectors :S :S :S :S The card doesnt change power supply because its a different board, all the big beasty boys take the standard 4 pin (same as your CD-ROM) some dont even need it, so not sure what you mean by that (do you have a picture as an example so i can see the plugs?)

Your PSU, maybe just a different revision, and they havent bothered updating their site... some peeps are lazy like that... Those guys over at I-Web still havent updated their support page to reflect the new support center :shocked: :p: :dunce:

As long as its in the same colour, makes no odds, i.e. put them into the blue ones, or put them into the black ones, dont put 1 into a blue one, and 1 into a black one as you wont get the full ability

The one is just the standard 4 pin molex, but shielded and covered in rubber on it's own, and the same for the PCI-E one. The PCI-E one has 6-pins, shield and rubbered just like the 4-pin one.

I bet it is a new revision, because the connector to the motherboard has a "slider" to slide an extra 4-pin connector so it will plug into most server boards.
