(the wet paper keeps it lovely a moist, the fish gently steam cooks, rather than drying out - and if done 'just so' , the skin/scales stay stuck to the paper when unwrapped, saving a messy job at the table :) ) |
Re: The what's cooking thread
Well it's a takeaway curry courtesy of Tesco for us tonight, veggie for him and lamb for me. The excuse is we are still decorating and I can't cook dinner and be up a step ladder at the same time!

Re: The what's cooking thread
The pork joint has been slow cooking in the bottom oven since 10:30 this morning--seasoned with garlic, honey, sea salt and pepper.
I have just put the roasting potatoes into the top oven. The veg will be steamed. All served with lots of garlicy gravy  :D |

Re: The what's cooking thread
Some ready meal for me tonight - due to some problems I couldn't work on Friday, so I'm working today - and I'm going to be working late... The missus has gone out with the little 'un, so I'm left to fend for myself... (though she did offer to cook me something before she went...)

Re: The what's cooking thread
Beef Wellington,
Broccoli Carrots Roast Potatoes. Cannot decide between a Pacific Bay Merlot ( Californian) or a Hardy's Crest Cabernet Sauvignon (Aussie), So I think I will have both. |

Re: The what's cooking thread
I am known for my simplicity in meals, however seriously I am a qualified chef, and when I have to put on a posh meal I always get remarks on how good it was.
