Yes, my bill came out on the 9th April. I had a credit applied 14th April. Obviously too late for the payment due 28th April, and credit has been taken off next bill. However, I kinda thought that another credit would generate within the May bill, which has arrived today, but it hasn't. I'm guessing now from the posts above that the new credit won't generate until 14.05.2020, and will therefore come off the following bill after that. I'll have a check at the end of the week.

Just checked my latest bill, have got both credits applied - so for me, at least, the system is working as I expected.

Good to not have to chase it up.

Yep, checked today and a new credit was applied, so that will come off my following bill. Not how I thought that it would work, but all good and happy with that! :)

I wouldn't be surprised if they started charging us again, due to the German football being shown live.

Has there been a press release MM stating that?.

I doubt it - Premiership football seemed to be the driving force so I would expect charging to resume if and when that starts.

Sky invited be back to sports, on a discounted deal, with sport paused.

It was the pause on Premiership football that was the driving factor, albeit a few weeks later, on being able to pause Sports subs - it is highly likely that the subs will be put back in place when Premiership football restarts.

However, I wouldn't expect the delay as there was at the start.

Do they back credit you? i.e back to march? VM should have informed all Sports customers that they can do this I've not had any notification although I've just applied for this I should receive 3/4 of my bill back next month as I'm also expecting compensation (applied for) for my 3 days without ANY services, lord knows whats happened with VM recently but I've had more outages and long ones in the last 6-8 months than I've had in 25+ years on cable services

No the suspension credits run from the date the suspension is processed (normally 2-3 days after you request online) onwards.

There is no backdating.

That's disgusting so they are charging you for a service they cannot supply and VM are not being charged for by Sky as sky suspended payments from other suppliers?

Why is it disgusting? The channels are still there (and remain available even after you suspend). You can also view sports recordings made prior to suspension.

Have sky suspended payments from other suppliers such as Virgin?

This thread started late March - can't help wondering why you are only looking at suspending now when Sport is looking to resume?

Yes Sky made this clear a couple of months ago

Who cares that you can watch if they are not offering the premium content we are paying for then you should not pay full stop, if there was a way of stopping payments then it should have been offered in an email to all sport subscribers not left to find out through a 2nd party like the cable forum

Why because I've just come on the cable forum for another reason and saw this thread I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

VirginMedia suspended my payments for Sky Sports and BT Sports - so I'm paying nothing for them but still get them and all recordings work fine.
I found out due to clicking a BIG RED banner on the VM home page.
