Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
Looking for some critique on a part finished project. Only 2 page templates completed which are :
http://www.bridge.mlweb.co.uk/ and http://www.bridge.mlweb.co.uk/food-a...lunch-menu.php A lot of the images are simply placeholders awaiting a final list of images from the client. I've also not been through the code to check it validates or added alt tags as yet. |

Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
I've been running www.pokerallnight.co.uk for a while now, still a complete novice but have managed to add a members gallery and a calendar page for events. Really only visited by a few mates who I play homegames with quite regularly.
Can anyone recommend a good webhost? I'm currently with easyspace.com and not too impressed with them.... |

To my eye the capitals in 'Passionate' and 'Keen' are surplus to requirements. Jeez, I'm turning into my grandfather.. Popup pictures are neat. As to contacts it's a personal foible but I'm always a touch wary of doing business with any company that only lists a mobile number. |

Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
I'm not going to post my commercial websites on here, as that would probably be viewed as advertising (which I don't do on here). However I do have a site that is advice only. It doesn't push you towards any product or manufacturer. But it does expose the truth about all the hype and gimmicks used in the bed industry. And it does give honest and impartial advice about beds and mattresses: http://www.mattressadvice.co.uk

Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
Cable Forum often considers links to commercial websites as spam. Post in the majority of areas of this board, including as links in signatures or profiles, and the Team might well get upset, unless it is something very on topic and the poster isn't joining in a thread simply promote their services as part of an on topic answer.
This thread, and this thread only, is slightly more relaxed. A single link to a commercial site may be acceptable, provided that this is not a repetitive process. If someone is linking to a site that is simply making money from loads of adverts and other page visits it's unlikely to be acceptable. Forum users who are long standing and active are likely to get a much greater level of latitude than someone who has only been here a few days. Of course if you've been told before your link is unacceptable, for some reason, it's not going to be permissible here. Ultimately it will be a judgement call from the Team if we see something we don't like, but we don't go looking for trouble, believe it or not ;) Realistically this thread is here to primarily allow members' leisure and hobby sites to receive a little exposure, rather than for commercial purposes. |
