I am glad of this news. It has for the most part been enjoyable. Recent episodes I think have been really good.

There are still 8 episodes of season 2 still to air in the USA.

I gave up with the UK timeline. I'll miss this as one of the very very few series that dragged me back into actually watching TV but thankfully there's been a boat load of quality programming for a while now. DC's TV shows are flying and keeping me entertained bar Legends of Tomorrow.

Anyway for those that watch the US timeline, it'll air May 3rd and presumably May 4th as they rush to get it over with and air 2 episodes a week until it closes out. As already been said, there's going to be no instant revival somewhere else, it's already been pitched. Could be years or simply never before it or if it ever makes a return.

The best thing I guess is Season 5 will be a true end, they seem to have known and to be fair fans have known the 13 episode order meant bad things ahead.

I only just found out there's a second series of the tunnel though, not all doom and gloom :p:

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

Great news, it is an excellent series and definitely deserves another season. I explained Kymmy is another post a few days ago why I love TWD so much and I could argue I like this more so. You get to see how society reacts to a real time disaster and what people do to survive. Whilst we can acknowledge the story and characters are fictional, you have got to ask yourself how would you react in their situation and what would you do to survive and who would you trust? I think the story with Alicia in 2x01 proves the point quite nicely and tbh I would make the same mistake. You think you are being kind and helping out only to find that somebody is taking advantage of you. The problem with situations like this is that if she survives it (which she will) it will make her doubt and not trust everyone going forward who may genuinely need help and be innocent.

I know some people moan that mid-season it tends to slow down but I love every episode. Like B5, I just love seeing the characters and worlds they live in.

The last CSI program, CSI Cyber has gone..

I think it was an OK show, but will be sad to see it go anyway. It's also sad to see the CSI franchise killed off, as some of the shows have been excellent.

Glad to see Supergirl is coming back. The first series, while not perfect, was a good antidote to the depression and misery contained in Zack Snyder's version of Superman, and, IMO, sticks more closely to the spirit of Superman than either of the two recent films (which seem largely to ignore it).

Really gutted about Agent Carter. It was a great show.

I was honestly going to post the same thing word for word and you beat me to it. I can't believe it. I am well chuffed about Supergirl though.

Edit: just done the poll and quite interestingly more than a third of users say they are going to miss Agent Carter the most. I am hoping it will get picked up by another network or there will be a mass petition by the Marvel fan base to bring it back like Jericho back in 2005 ish.

Seven episodes into Game of Silence‘s freshman run, NBC has opted not to pick up the drama series for a second season. The dark thriller, based on a Turkish format and in the vein of the movie Sleepers, has been steady but low-rated, logging a 0,7 adults 18-49 Live+same day rating for the past five airings. The series was a co-production between Sony TV and Universal TV.

CBS has given series orders to dramas Training Day, a sequel to the movie; the Dr. Phil-inspired Bull, starring NCIS‘ Michael Weatherly, Jason KatimsPure Genius (fka Bunker Hill) and MacGyver, a reboot of the classic series. Both are multi-camera as is the newly picked up Kevin James comedy Kevin Can Wait, meaning that renewed Life In Pieces will be the only single-camera comedy series on CBS next season.

ABC has given series orders to drama Notorious and comedy Imaginary Mary. Both are co-productions between Sony TV and ABC Studios. Notorious, from Josh Berman and The Firm, had been an early standout at the network, while Imaginary Mary, from The Goldbergs team of Adam F. Goldberg, David Guarascio and Happy Madison, had received high marks for its seamless blending of live-action and CGI animation. The pickup gives The Goldbergs creator Goldberg, Happy Madison and Sony TV two comedy series on ABC.

Have loved Castle over the first 7 seasons. The last season has been poor, although there have been a few good episodes. Still sad to see it go.

Actually you're the one who is insulting people by shouting and you're not the arbiter of what's on topic or of topic either, the person you're accusing of insulting you is.

No offence dude but you can obviously tell the difference between capitals and lowercase because you used both in a previous post. Paul isn't being nit picky, it was a polite request. If we wanted to nit pick we would rip apart your last post which had no punctuation in it at all.

There is no fight. You were just asked not to post in capitals as it signifies shouting. Also instead of typing quotes just paste a link and a short quote. Its much easier and helps people out.

‘The Mysteries of Laura’ Canceled By NBC After Two Seasons

Quote:

The Mysteries of Laura was one of few brights sports for NBC when it launched in fall 2014. While it has been older-skewing, the series has been a reliable 8 PM anchor to the network’s Wednesday lineup.
A consistent utility player, Mysteries of Laura started and ended its 16-episode second season with a 1.2 Live+same day adults 18-49 rating, a season high. It also boasts a recognizable TV star as the lead, Messing, as the lead.

Person of Interest wrapped up on Thursday night with a truly outstanding season finale. Michael Emerson once again coming up trumps (Also from JJ Abrams, Lost)

Left the door open slightly as you'd expect with a show with ratings like that given they were cancelled rather than wanting to wrap it up. It was pitched and has consistent viewers. Just that CBS were making pennies from it given the ownership of the show by Warner bros.

Once again though, another example of everything Abrams touching just turns to gold. (Lost, Fringe, POI)

Oh right will have to look it up on demand. Thanks for the info
What channel was it on? I've looked at 5 on demand for thursday and there's nothing there. Also looked at last weeks tv guide (Total Tv Guide) and found nothing listed at all for Person Of Interest?

It was in the US it ended this week so probs be another year before it's aired over here.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

Sorry shouldve specified. Netflix UK will likely pick it up before 5.

I don't disagree either. Samaritan was the endgame and the thought of dragging it over another 22 episodes procedurally would have been dull.

It had a good exit and I'm satisfied with it. Like I said, Lost, Fringe and POI. All three were hits and great and all ended great. Rather than being dissapointed I'm more intrigued to see what Abrams and co pitch next. They did leave it open though but for those that watched the finale, I wouldn't want it back after that ending. Leave it be.
