Don't know for sure, but my guess is that it would just be the same routine regardless of the weather; she was just wearing normal clothes before she started to strip off.

Well the "heavy snow" forecast for Leeds has slowly turned into sunshine and heavy rain showers. It was heavy snow, then snow, then hail, then rain... I just don't think can forecast the weather anymore

I've woken up (almost) to a couple of inches of snow. It's quite pretty and looks an awful lot easier to clear off the car than the snow about a month ago.

Is it too early to snowball my neighbours windows?

Yeh, I agree... not only do I remember the real snow of the past, but I also seem to remember the long hot summers, as well as the thick pea soup fog, that lasted for days on end... Ohhhh the simple pleasures of the once, great British weather, how I long for those days to return. Oh well, no going back.... there's no going back. :(

I have a BIG problem with a bunch of numptys chasing a fox with a pack of dogs so they can watch it get ripped to shreds for there entertainment and FUN.

Its funny how every time people complain about global warming, its snows later in the year. Maybe that's where the polar ice cap is going. In a couple of years it will be snowing in July and August.

I remember scraping ice off my car in mid-May a few years ago (about 4 give or take)

I find it funny how at school they teach us that the planet was once tropical with Dinosaurs then a lot of the planet was covered in ice and glaciers moved creating valleys and a lot of the scenic places we go now. Do not see any human interference in those cases. Now temps are rising slightly and ice is melting and its our fault like the planet or the sun or natural events can not be to blame.

The effect so called "Global Warming" will have on the UK is to push the Gulf Stream which is over northern England, is to push this over northern france, thus making us colder.

It most certainly isn't - take a look at the EXIF. We've just had the most tremendous storm. The emergency services are out dealing with floods. Of course there's bright sunshine now but with plenty of hail still lying about.

It's hard to say, I don't think I've lived here long enough to notice any reliable pattern. Give me another 20 years. :D

By the way, I've been looking at the OS for the area and trying to match up the snow line with the contours. It looks more like 700 metres than 600 - the summit of Ben Reoch (661 metres) is on the left of the photo, just above the treetops, and is snow-free.

I'm heading into Glasgow shortly. I'll take the camera with me as there is a viewpoint on my route which might yield a nice picture. Assuming the weather stays clear, of course, at the moment the rain is so heavy I can't actually see Beinn Narnain any more :disturbd:

Was in the highlands a week or so back - well, we passed through heading for Gairloch. There was snow on the mountain tops then. Down to 4C at one point - chilly.

No snow here - just wind and rain :(

Just to show how quickly things can change around here, here's the same view that I posted three days ago:

-2 here last night, and barely above freezing all day. The snow on Beinn Narnain keeps coming and going - the snow line was down to 600 metres yesterday, but it never remains for long except at the very peak.

More worrying is the amount of rain we had over the weekend. The water level in Loch Lomond is a good metre above its summer average and if it gets any higher it will start to flood parts of the road near our house.
