Ireland is a foreign country and what happens over there has no baring on what happens here. In the same way that we don't discuss what services UPC or Ziggo get because they are based in different countries, even though they'll all owned by Liberty. What happens elsewhere does not effect what we get here. Can we just stick to our country, please?

Who knows, the Scots might be leaving us soon too, so this could just be the English Cable Forum in the end...

Whilst I completely agree with you, I believe there was a vote several months ago on whether to include Ireland in this thread. The 'in Campaign' won that time ;):D

AIUI, Media Boy asked if people would prefer a separate thread for VM Ireland and the answer was no, any information should be posted in this thread.

There are times when action elsewhere (company or country) can have a bearing on VM customers in the UK eg when Sky kicked Current TV out of the Sub Club, they could no longer afford to broadcast on satellite. This meant that VM customers lost the channel too as it would not have been viable to broadcast on cable only.

Unconfirmed reports that a playout centre has suffered a major fire, so some channels on VM may be affected.

The only one that I am aware of so far has been Talking Pictures, which I don't think that VM carry.

This was knocked out on Freeview, not sure about the satellite feed.

And cartoonito too?

Hot on the heals of Vintage TV, Nollywood & Motors TV.

Since LG bought VM, there has been a steady trickle of channels moving down the packages, perhaps VM feel that this will stop customers leaving entirely.

The latest childrens channels might be in response to Now TV charging separately for kids programming??

Nowtv doesn't have Disney channel anymore either.

Could be, but also with 4k on the horizon VM has to do some thinking as regards to channel packages and EPG slots. If, as I assume it will, that 4k becomes the new HD and HD becomes the new SD.

In some ways you can't blame them, but I feel they need to tread a fine line of keeping value in XL too.

The first episode of Mr Robot which starts this Thursday on Universal Channel is now available in HD on Virgin Media with the Universal Channel HD DOG.

Could this suggest that Universal Channel HD is finally launching on Virgin Media, in time for this new series?

It's showing the same on my Sky Q EPG , it appears to be available on both Universal Channel and Syfy.

Tomorrow's showing on Universal Channel/HD at 9pm
Showing on Syfy/HD at 11pm.

I loved Mr Robot the Mrs didn't, she did not get it.
The second series has already started on Amazon, it is just a shame that it was not filmed for HDR, the strange angles would have looked amazing in HDR.

What's wrong with women mate? My Mrs didn't fancy it either...strange, as it looks really good.

Universal HD would be a great addition to VM ;)
