Dynamic EPG so when there are last minute changes to programme times they still record correctly

The main problem with that is if there are programmes set on all tuners on different channels that are due to start at the scheduled end time of the event that is running late. If that happens, one of your recordings will fail to record (or commence recording after the start, if this is how the box is configured).

But if You use the series link priority system correctly for the shows that are most important it's a part way to combat it, and it will record next airing

Except that if the deleted recording is the last or only showing, you're stuffed.

Priority settings are a useful device, but sometimes all the programmes (particularly on certain evenings at 9 pm) are priorities.

Additionally, you must remember that it is not always foreseeable as to which programmes will overrun, causing a conflict that is not anticipated.

Indeed OB as sometimes there are 5 good programmes at 9 pm and sometimes there is no way out of it and that's why 5 or 6 tuners would sort out the problems full stop.

Yeah I think the new TiVo with additional tuners would sort the dynamic EPG issue

I only had two tuners and always got around clashes , I now have four and the ability to watch a fifth however shows on the pay channels repeat that often you can always avoid clashes.

Well this morning l had 5 recordings set for 10 pm tonight but sadly for two of them l cannot find another allocated time slot for the programmes as its the last time they being shown sadly MM so in my humble view extra tuners are definitely needed.

Yes that's correct.

Good stuff. I hope you enjoy it; it certainly looks to be a very good system.

Yes so far so good , apologies I just deleted in error. The streaming of recordings was the seller for us.

Home Fires
Bloody tales from History
Match of the day 2
Great estates of Scotland
New Tricks
11.22.63

l got round the last one 11.22.63 MM so then l was left with 5 recordings set at the same time and l can't use a time shift channel as there are things recording at those times so sadly l am up the creek without a paddle it seems.

Are any of those on the main Freeview channels that have catchup? That could be an option?

Thanks for checking. So, instead of expanding Worldbox, it's being reduced!

I can't see it costing much to stream these channels from the internet. I wonder if VM have to pay carriage costs??

Yep. I thought that the TiVo had one extra tuner than the V+, but it hasn't. It just allows you to use the third for permanent recording.

As a boxing fan Virgin Media just isn't an option. I can't get Boxnation in HD, the PPV boxing on SKY Box Office is not in HD, can't get Spike TV which shows boxing plus I don't think Virgin have FOTV which shows 2 Golden Boy promotion events live each month for free. I'm not going to waste my breath mentioning the other SKY basic channel...

Film On TV has recently been removed from Freesat. Is it definitely still on Sky Chad?

A possible solution:

MOTD2 - BBC iPlayer
Great Estates of Scotland - ITV player
