I dont need 3 recordable turners as +1 channels and OD is fine for me or even moving the recording to a different time is fine for me

Re: General Sky TV Discussion

I'll take watching 99% of my content in HD any day of the week , for me sports is important and unfortunately VM can only offer 2 of the 6 Sky Sports channels in HD they also don't carry Sky Atlantic HD which in our house now takes up tuners on a regular basis , as a Sky customer I'll also soon be able to download my content to my portable devices via Sky Go to take with me on the move something I believe not possible so far on TV Anywhere. I guess I've never had a tuner issue once however I do have a multiroom PVR so spread recordings across the four , soon enough I'll be able to view all those recordings on whichever PVR with planner sharing , I guess an individuals requirements will differ. :)

Is that content recorded on your Sky box MM? If so, is it streamed from the Sky box?

So is 'Planner Sharing' the same as VM's multiroom streaming?

No content On Demand via the Sky Go app I believe

Example instead of watching Boardwalk Empire On Demand via the app which would require an Internet connection to stream it , you will have the option to download the show to your device so it's available to watch on the go without an Internet connection , similar to how the BBC Iplayer does now.

Yes.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the explanation.

When is planner sharing due?

Not 100% sure , the feature was rumoured to be enabled this year on PVR's as the option is already included in the new EPG menus with the functionality extended to the non PVR boxes in early 2013 via an update to the new EPG , all speculation at the moment though.

All Sky+HD boxes have 2 tuners and have done since launch in 2006?
