I know he's meant to be the dead man but in reality he must be close to 50 and finding it difficult to put his body through it. WWE is really struggling just now for me. Smackdown is pretty pointless now and the Cenafest is getting very very old.

Presumably Punk will return at the PPV in Chicago, but I'm not forking out £15 to watch that main event.

Won't be paying either but will watch it ;)

If its not worth the money, its not worth the time either. Saying its not worth the money then pirating it regardless is a lame excuse.

What 'Free ones' on Sky Sports for 2013?

They haven't pre-announced them this year.

I also don't see the point of smackdown at the moment it is just full of what happened on Raw and how can you show the "slam of the week" when you can only show it in pictures and not film cause it was part of a pay per view event?

Haven't watched a Raw or PPV since WrestleMania, been flicking through the reviews and stuff on sites, can't say I'm missing it either. Bring Smackdown to an end, get rid of these ridiculous themed PPV's and start using Ziggler and Daniel Bryan a lot more rather than pushing the hell out of Ryback and Axel and I may just get back into it.

Ziggler needs a bigger role and having Daniel Bryan stuck around with Kane week in week out is criminal. Orton needs a heel turn and the idea of Cena never turning heel is just meh.

William Regal and Daniel Bryan can put on better matches than any Main event this year. How much I miss Kurt Angle.

Because it's after a PPV, people are going to know the results so they have to acknowledge it. WWE runs the PPV throughout the week so you can still buy it after it's aired and rather than show any footage from the event they milk any possible sales for the rest of that week.

In other stranger news, Rampage Jackson signed for TNA. Comes after rumours of Chael Sonnen looking at the idea of WWE. Sonnen would make an awesome Heel in my opinion.

Ziggler has been off with a concussion but he's back this monday. Daniel Bryan is about to have a massive push which will see him main eventing PPVs, this is where his current "weakest link" storyline is heading.

Does anyone know what the first major WWE event was shown by SKY?

SKY launched in February 1989 but the first 2 big WWE events I remember watching was WrestleMania VI and SummerSlam 90.

Was WrestleMania V, SummerSlam 89, The Survivor Series 89 or the 1990 Royal Rumble on SKY?

Royal rumble was on channel 4 till 1999 wasn't it?

No, I remember watching the 2001 Rumble on 4. Last PPV I remember watching on 4 was Armageddon 2001, I know because I stayed up all night to watch it. And then failed my exam that I was sitting at 9 o clock that Monday morning.

It was cactus jack hhh at a royal rumble that got me back into wrestling, it's still the greatest match I've ever seen, in fact that show was the best I've ever seen imo.

I seen WrestleMania VI on Eurosport (Part own by Sky in 1990)
WM 8 was shown on Sky Movies Plus.

Wow I can't remember WrestleMania VI being on Eurosport. Whilst I enjoyed WrestleMania VI I didn't really know all of the wrestlers back stories. At that time I had only watched about 1 WWF show. By the time WrestleMania VII came around I'd been watching Superstars of Wrestling for about a year and really knew my stuff. Used to buy every WWF magazine and through time bought all the WrestleManias on Silver Vision video.

WrestleMania VII was great. Some well worked stories came to a head. Jake The Snake against Rick Martel in a blindfold match, The Ultimate Warrior against Randy Savage in a retirement match and Virgil facing Ted Dibiase. Not a fan of Hogan Vs. Slaughter.

That was a great fight. I preferred Mick as Mankind. Whilst hardcore action was always a thrill, I enjoyed watching really good technical fights like Randy Savage against Ricky Steamboat or Bret Hart against Mr. Perfect.
