Everything ready for lunch just made some scones that we will have with a cuppa after our toasties & side salad.

I will have cheese and pineapple whereas no doubt Karen will pick cheese and ham and Lindzi will have the same as me :) then we will have a good old catch up as it's been awhile that I have been up to having friends over for lunch so I'm really looking forward to it tbh it's so nice being able to do normal things again.

Good luck weenie as with your scones they say put the jam on first, and then clotted cream in the Cornish style on one side of her scone, and then cream followed by jam on the other side, as they do in Devon.:naughty::naughty::D:D

Yes you could nash I used to think that also but then I gave it a try and was amazed just how easy they were to make, honestly it's only flour, salt, butter, sugar and milk and then once you have mastered them you can add whatever you want or just leave it if you want plain scones. I now add whatever and if it does not work out lesson learnt ;)

I need to say plain scones are lovely with pineapple jam.

Here is a easy recipe from morrisons https://groceries.morrisons.com/webs...t-scones/37005

I've also made scones and they really are simple. Just remember not to rotate the cutter otherwise they can end up warped.

I find baking quite relaxing tbh whereas one of my sister in laws baking comes close to hell for her but then again she is very busy plus if I'm totally honest when I worked I very rarely baked at all.
