We had a lovely daytrip today at Paignton where we met up with quite a few of the family from Hampshire before we all go down to the caravan park in Cornwall tomorrow.:)

Blimey, I was in Paignton on Monday den. Stayed in the Travelodge there. Right on the seafront. Shame it was raining in the morning which stopped us from having a beach walk.

By the time we got there Mark the blue sky was just starting to show itself after some early morning rain as we have so many fond memories of Paignton when we were younger so the family like to go back there from time to time.

That is the good thing with the accommodation with Travelodge right along the seafront there with a Premier Inn not far away either.

Forecast for the week is for an Indian Summer across the south of the UK with temperatures up in the low 20's but chilly at night. Enjoy.

Was down in Cornwall/Devon earlier this month. Lovely area, lots of cars though, dread to think what it's like in the school hols. I maxed out my National Trust membership !

Just booked a nice little autumn break to the Algarve. Now I'm not tied to school holidays, saving a fortune and can get extra breaks in. :)

Yes went to the Lizard, lovely, so glad I chose it over Lands End which I gather is a bit of a tacky theme park set up now.

If you want to avoid the tacky and expensive Land's End "experience" park down in the Sennen Cove Harbour carpark and take a pleasant walk along the coast path to Land's End.

No charge to enjoy the actual coast.
