Yeah, I too assumed that you all indoctrinated, your kids. (Through children's movies of all things!)

Ha...bring it Hugh....

This is going to be difficult Hugh. For things that I would traditionally insult you with (like number 4), you cite Supremacy on.

Defeating someone who uses their weakness as a form of Supremacy is a tough one to try and battle.

Hmm...I'll figure a way though.

Well, after expecting to be without a debit card until Wednesday at the earliest, imagine my happiness and relief when a new one arrived this morning.

He must have had a great time with plenty interesting places, You will be glad to have him home safe, ;)

On Monday I went to the grey hounds in Great Yarmouth.

My dad didn't go so we put some money on for him.

so on one race both he and myself won, according to the TV that shows the result we'd £2.80.

I go to collect the winning and she hands me £26.80.

I did query it but she said that what the machine pays.

So I made slightly more than I bet.

Okay...number 15 on this list. Yes, in that one sport, the dominance of Lancashire has been phenomenal ; 13 titles for United, another 3 for City and even other clubs from Lancashire like Blackburn have lifted the trophy. The East Midlands even have one...

But that is just one sport!

When it comes to Rugby, Yorkshire crushes Lancashire at every single level. County Cricket...Yorkshire has more championships than any other county by almost double. In fact, other than Surrey only Middlesex has even a third of the total championships.

What gives...is Yorkshire ashamed of all it's other success?

You are the strangest people on the planet to figure out - arguing with you is impossible!

I’m not from Yorkshire, I’m a CFA*...

I’ve been resident** here for 38 years, but I’m not a Yorkshireman (but my kids are born and bred proud to be Yorkies)

(*Come From Away)

**traveled away a lot for work

That's honestly even worse, lol. Your kids had no choice - you had them there.

You on the other hand chose to live there.

Someone would need a PhD to write a thesis on this, lol...

Because it’s centrally located for (business) travel, Leeds is a great, compact city with beautiful countryside 20 minutes from the city centre, the people are friendly, it’s (relatively) affordable, great theatres/restaurants/shopping, and I feel safe here - what’s not to like?

I am sure people feel the same about Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham- I happened to settle here after being in West Berlin, and I’m glad for me, and my family, I did.

Quality of life...

There’s no place like home.
