ok it wasn't exactly the same team but they play us in the league and everytime we get the ball the put us under pressure and get a draw then they play a team from the division below them and loose 5-1

When teams like Newcastle play against Man utd it's basically thier cup final so they raise their game and put in extra effort. Last night they were playing a lower league club, who will probably be in the premiership next season so do have some quality players, in a half empty stadium, so it doesn't suprise me they didn't play as well against Birmingham as they did against United.

They'll get their parachute payments on top of that.

Think its something like £14Mil over 2 years for relegated teams

Just a thought........how many clubs in the premiership are not owned by a foreign investor ?

and how many have actually paid cash for the club and not mortgaged it to the hilt to finance it, sorry to keep going on about it but it just doesn't seem right to me :mad:

Me either, in hindsight, it would have been better if Rupert Murduch had succeeded in his bid for United a few years ago.

If we are not careful I have a feeling some clubs might cease to exist :(

the problem is that now all the clubs have to pay millions to agents just to get new players and survive in the league as such money goes out of the game and disappears which means we have to pay more on tickets to make up for it
