A lot of it has thawed out already. The trees are dripping water.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Tell me about it. Left work at 1630 yesterday, got home 14 miles away at 1950. Couple of flakes of snow and the roads go to hell and people suddenly find out that not looking after their cars properly really isn't a good idea.

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Nearly lost the car on a roundabout this morning. It looked clear (unlike the rest of the roads around here) - I guess I underestimated just how slippy it would still be.
In other news.....I'm the only person in the office so far (which is unusual to say the least) so I guess I'm spending the day on my own today. |
Re: [Merged] Snow!

Re: [Merged] Snow!
Working from home today - due to the compacted snow ice I cannot get the car up the hill and out of our road.
It came down yesterday - started at 1pm and didn't relent until the early hours. Took me just over 3 hours to do 15 miles from our office to home. The sun is now starting to peek through so hopefully a thaw soon! |
Re: [Merged] Snow!
At home it was snowing heavily and our street is like an ice rink. The van was sliding all over at the slightest provokation.
Here in Runcorn, a mere 6 miles away, it's sunny and the roads are clear or have a little slush on them! |
Re: [Merged] Snow!
Snow?? What snow? Absolutely clear here.Sunshine, clear blue skies.
However north of Portsdown Hill is another matter...the rest of Hampshire is snow bound.:erm: |

Re: [Merged] Snow!
It's thawing here but where we're going tonight with loads of radio gear and antennas it might be another story and someone might have to come and dig us out ;)
