Would make sense for Amazon Prime to be there in time for Clarkson's new show. Would you get the bunting out if Amazon Prime transpired, Den? :) .

Just emailing the Council to ask permission to hold a street party. :) But you're right, there's been a lot of content additions to celebrate this year with more round the corner.

I know this doesn't apply to yourself theone, but I don't get why people are making such a big deal over Amazon being added to VM. It's available on numerous devices, many of which will already be in peoples' homes, and if that isn't the case, can be watched on a £35 Fire Stick.

Access on these devices will be way faster than via the current Tivo.

I agree mate, I have the app on both PS4 and PS3. I'm not too worried about whether the Amazon app comes to Tivo or not.

Some don't want devices here there and everywhere in their home so l for one would be pretty happy if it was added to the TiVo PB.

I prefer the US version of Amazon video personally find much more content there very simple to set up too using your own Amazon account a vpn/smart dns, a roku, smart tv etc and a usa address, a uk credit/debit card works.

If Amazon prime is given free with XL that'd be exciting...

The point I was making is that many people already have access via their current TV, BR Player, games console or Roku type device.

Failing that, a small stick that plugs into the back of the TV is hardly, 'devices here there and everywhere' ;)

Lets hope it comes with 5.1 sound as well. PS3 does.

If you don't have broadband being able to access Netflix, Hayu and potentially Amazon Instant Video without an internet connection is a massive selling point. My parents don't have the internet and get their TiVo upgrade in the next week or so. Definitely getting them set up on the old Netflix account. I

News from Ireland:

"Virgin Media to drop Eir Sport and BT from cable offering. Pay TV group says price sought is too high for former package of Setanta and BT Sport channels."

http://www.irishtimes.com/business/m...ring-1.2726352

"Virgin has signed a new multi-year deal with Sky to carry a range of its sports and entertainment channels, including its new station, Sky Sports Mix. This channel will be offered as part of Virgin Media’s basic TV pack, replacing Setanta Sports (now Eir Sport), which it had carried since its launch in 2004."

Fair point, but VM customers with no internet, I would imagine, would be a small proportion and less likely to be interested in Netflix/Prime type services anyway?

New to this. It looks like Virgin media Ireland is getting rid of BT Sport for Sky Sports mix.
